Windlass Restaurant

I went here with my family... It has a very small town, family friendly atmosphere with mostly locals dining there. The hot lobster open faced sandwich was delicious with LOTS of lobster, and fisherman's platter was tasty and a good size. The fish chowder was creamy and thin, didn't have a ton of flavor but you could tell the fish was fresh (and the hot roll that came with it was great). I would definitely recommend stopping by!

Great little spot off the beaten path. Friendly service and good home cooked local dishes. Rappie pie was nice and crisp, seafood was fresh. Good place to eat by yourself, as a couple, or bigger group. Not sure what the house wine was but came in a large container and was dang drinkable. Please note for a placed called windless it was slightly windy.

I was on vacation in 2019 and stopped here to eat. I had the best creamed lobster. The rest of my family had fish and chips, which was equally amazing. The food was so fresh. I will definitely go back the next time invisit Yarmouth. Highly recommend.

Awesome fresh seafood and friendly service. The view is also nice. Fern our waitress was very friendly. I had Haddock and fries, my wife had lobster roll. We had many meals from all different restaurants so far in Nova Scotia, but so far Windlass was the best. And the servings are huuuuuuge refer to photo.

What's not to love about this restaurant? The atmosphere is great as is the view. The food is outstanding. I don't get out there often enough but am planning another visit soon.

The hospitality here is the best, so friendly and the food is amazing, if you like clams, this is the best place in Yarmouth...trust me you will not be disappointed.

Great local restaurant, seafood is always fresh. Friendly service. If your in yarmouth try it out. Prices are reasonable.

I used to work there back in early 2000. I have eaten there many times. Great food, great staff. Best Seafood in town.

The best hot lobster sandwich ever!! I visit this area every year. I have dinner of hot lobster every year. It's always been the best.

A little out of town, but definitely worth the drive for their lobster sandwich. It was delicious and absolutely stacked with lobster.

The Halibut was delicious the rest of the seafood was perfectly cooked the service was good and there was an amazing view of the Yarmouth Lighthouse I would recommend coming here to anyone and I will definitely come back myself
