Rodd Grand Yarmouth

I stayed just for one night and my experience was great.
The hotel was a great location, the staff was super friendly and well-trained.
The gym has a couple of cardio machines and some weights.
Everything was clean and neat.
Parking was free and convenient.

We had a 5 star experience before we were even done checking in. Lots of hotel parking behind and beside the hotel with easy access to the hotel back entrance via the parking lot. Reception informed us of rates and promotions we didn’t even know about without being prompted. Room was renovated, clean, and had a great view. The beds were very comfortable - I am picky about hotel pillows and I wanted to take these ones home with me! The heated pool was the perfect temperature. The Grand is certainly holding up to the positive reputation they hold within the surrounding local communities.

Pizza was fantastic. The desserts, all house-made: creamy cheesecake, creme brulée, apple strudel, tarts, fresh pastries. Somebody must have summoned the bakery elves. Wow!!!

Really friendly staff, clean hotel, sauna in the pool needs new elements. We could make it warmer in our room. Pool was good

Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. Asked for a quiet room and we got. 7th floor overlooking the Yarmouth harbour.

Nice hotel. Clean comfortable room. Restaurant is small but nice. Food was tasty. Tried the Rappe and loved it. Our server, Sam was friendly and helpful. However, they are woefully understaffed. Sam never slowed down except to talk to the customers. Took forever to get our food. Not sure how short staffed the kitchen was. Still enjoyed my food.

Very clean rooms and lots of amenities such as a gym and pool that we did not partake of, simply because we were tired. The hostess was professional and friendly and recommended a great pub at the habour. Easy drive over to Cat Ferry to Maine

Great location at a fantastic hotel! Steps away from the local pubs and restaurants. The check in was smooth and the staff was wonderful! Room had all of the amenities needed and the staff is accommodating as well!

Highly recommend going to johnny patches thats 50 steps away from hotel. lots of pool tables, VLTs, jukebox machine and was a very clean!

Hands down the best spot to stay in Yarmouth! The staff are incredibly helpful and cheerful, the rooms and common areas are super clean and comfy! I loved the gym, swimming pool and sauna! The restaurant has a wonderful diverse menu (never had the same dish twice) and everything was very tasty. I loved that I could walk to everything as the location is stellar, including the beautiful park just across the street!
No need to book anywhere else, it's an absolute no-brainer where to stay when you're in Yarmouth. 5* Best-In-Value, Rodd's was truly a Grand experience!

The Rodd Grand Yarmouth was the perfect stay for us! Very close to the ferry with easy parking and very close walking distance to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. They were super kind and welcoming to us and our dog!

I will start with highly recommending this place if you want to stay right in downtown Yarmouth walking distance to everything.

Some of the reviews I read were critical of the dated furniture, and general sprucing up issues.

Excluding the above which for us are not concerns, the room was clean and everything in it worked. The window opens which was nice to let in some outside air especially on the higher level we were on.

Also consider the price, what we paid to me reflects what you get. If you are looking for shiny and new there's a newer hotel way out by the airport. If you are looking for a hotel at a central location, that's functional and clean, I highly recommend the Rodd.

People have all been excellent!!! The rooms are great but a tad old. But everything is neat and clean. Had a nice dinner at the restaurant and everything was excellent. Would easily recommend this hotel.

Great location if you want to walk the waterfront and explore "downtown." The rooms are clean, and the staff have always been friendly. The views from the upper floors are quite nice.

Pleasant staff from reservation, welcome and departure. Nice view of town and harbour. Clean, comfy king size bed, very quiet. Dining room service excellent. Food was exquisite ( eggs Benedict cooked to perfection). Would return A+

Friendly staff, good service, nice pool. The building is a little aged but clean and comfortable. A few upgrades could be made for sure but nice atmosphere. The view of the Harbour from the top floor is very nice. You can see Bunker Island and Cape Forchu in the distance.

Service here was amazing. Our only issue was pool access. We have limited mobility and you had to go down fairly steep stairs to get to it. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Absolute joy to stay here quick check in and a beautiful older classic style hotel in the perfect seaside location. Eggs Benedict was amazing in their lounge. The only thing I'd suggest changing would be to upgrade the TV channel package. I'll definitely be back on business trips.

Had a great stay at the Rodd Grand. The room was nice, the service was excellent and the location was perfect to explore the town.

Stayed here for 2 nights on business and all the staff were so friendly, accommodating, and efficient. We also had a catered lunch of home made soup and sandwiches that was excellent. If you can get over the slightly dated decor, the beds are beyond comfortable and the rooms have everything you need. Highly recommend!

Very considerate.
We had to cancel our reservation at the Rodd due to the ferry from Yarmouth being cancelled because of hurricane Fiona. Because we booked online we normally would not have been eligible for a refund but Johnathan the front desk manager approved the refund & even sent an email to bookings. com stating such. I thought this was very considerate of our situation. Apparently they
did this for several other people. Im sure several other establishments would have just charged us. THANK YOU
