If you have all of your documents in order, it is extremely efficient.

The line is long but is constantly moving. It’ll take about 30 minutes in line and 15 minutes to talk to the different counters (if you have all your documents).

Make sure to print photocopies of your documents and print out your flight and hotel itinerary. Read all of the other reviews to know what you need to bring.

Payment is cash or debit only.

The whole process took around 30 minutes, as long as you have all the required documents it shouldn’t be a long wait. The ladies that helped me were also very friendly

Extremely efficient. This is an example of how a visa application center should be. Great experience.
They also have a $10 photo booth for passport and visa pictures. Computer and printer available as well. Can't ask for more. Haven't seen similar service in any other application center.

Went to get a tourists visa.
1. Fill in the form online. Book appointment. (I went two days before appointment, they don't check appointment time as long as you fill in the form online).
2. Bring:
1x printed form
1x printed appointment confirmation
1x copy of passport
1x original passport
1x original PR card
1x copy of PR card (for Canadian PR)
1x printed return flight itinerary
1x printed hotel booking of your whole stay (tip: make a booking online, get the PDF then cancel the booking)
3. Get in the line (there's only one, your appointment time doesn't matter) to let the staff check if you have all the required documents. Then you will get a number.
4. Wait for your number.
5. You will then submit all your documents and original passport. They will ask which visa you want to apply for. You will then get another number for payment.
6. Wait for your number.
7. Pay with cash or Canadian debit card. No credit card accepted.

Everything takes less than an hour.

You can do all your printing at the Staples next door for $0.18 per page (remember to print as Black & White).

No need to bring a physical copy of a passport photo if you have uploaded one on the application form online.

All the staff were friendly and efficient.

Been here at least 5 times and the service is fast and friendly. You’ll need to fill out the visa application form to get an appointment. Don’t worry about the time slots - I booked for 1:30 PM but reached closer to 2:00 PM and they didn’t ask a thing. The fee can only be paid in cash or debit. I went ‘extra’ prepare with the documents but in the end didn’t really need them. Return ticket and hotel booking was returned so don’t bother making any bookings in advance. No need for employment letter or pay slips either (for business visas). Ditto for copy of the drivers license.

The people working at the center are great, very helpful, very patient, knowledgeable, they're the ones that made the center good.
The only issue is the lack of or vague information on the website that leads to issues at the center.

I've seen some negative reviews here, but by my own experience, I will send 5 star to them, even though I got my visa after half an month. first those employees are very nice, when I reached them, they all gave me impression they want to help. Since my flight is close , I still didn't get my visa, I sent emails to illustrate my bad situation, they always replied, I know they really care even though they still need to follow normal process. I missed one original doc in the first appointment, I tried to present agin when I went to pick up my family's visa, the lady was kindly helping me . I really appreciate the help by the people working here.

Today, I came to the Toronto Application Center with my elderly parents. It was really touching! Many thanks to Ms. Xu who was at window #2 this morning for her many times of kindness help! And the enthusiastic helps from the other staff, even know all of you were incredibly busy at all time! I could tell many people including myself were so frustrated, but the staff were always being patience and kind to provide professional help! Without your kindness help and patience, today's certification and two visas would have to go there twice but I live so far away from Toronto! The staff at your visa centre is so heartwarming! Thank you very much!

If you can manage to get an appointment, the application experience is actually very good. Staff is efficient and friendly. And it's clear which windows are intake, processing and payment. I haven't seen anyone who is confused about where to go.

The office is also conveniently located next to a Staples if you need to do some last minute copying and printing.

The staff may have their flaws and there's tons of bureaucracy that common to this kind of process. However, everyone gets done and you are served when it is your turn. The important thing is that this is the real and official centre that will give you the information you need and the documents you need to travel.

Fast and efficient service! As long as you have all your documents in order, than there shouldn't be a problem. Was pleasantly surprised by the service and by the friendly staff.

First of all, I didn't make the reservation because it's very last minute and I just applied my passport, so couldn't book appointment online. I brought along water and food to the application center with expectation to wait there for hours. However when I told the receptionist that I need to apply the urgent visa, she checked my documents and gave me a ticket right away. The waiting area is clean, spacious and has several screens to call ticket numbers and direct to each window. I also noticed there are computers and copy machine, but there's a staples store next to the building if you want to use their printing service. I got there at about 9:30, and only waited 40 minutes. The appointment only takes 5 minutes and no question asked. The next day I went to pick up my passport and paid the normal fee plus extra for urgent service. It only took 5 minutes wait and 5 minutes to process. Maybe I was just lucky and went in on a good day, otherwise I really don't get why so many people complain about their service and waiting time? The documents, application and process are far more simpler and better explained than any other visa I ever applied (yes....Schengen in all different countries' consulate, US and Israel visa, all such a pain! You need to book appointment months in advance, and prepare to tell them EVERYTHING about you life!)

After reading some of the reviews I was honestly expecting this to be a nightmare but it wasn't. All the staff were nice and pleasant to deal with, no issues here. They do check your documents thoroughly so triple check all the fields on your forms. All the requirements are on their website so use that as a checklist. My appointment was booked for 9AM-10AM, I arrived at 8:15AM and there were already 2 people in line although the center opens at 9AM. The line up behind me piled up very quickly so arrive early if you want to make it in time. I walked in at 9 and was out in 20 minutes, the service is fast and efficient as long as you arrive early and have all the paperwork completed correctly.

Was able to submit my application in one day. Staff were very helpful, though they obviously can't do anything if you're missing documents. They asked only for the documents they listed online (though I'd prepared other documents, after reading the previous reviews). Office is large, clean and quiet.

I'm surprised some people had to come back 4-5 times and spent 2+ months on this.

Only bad thing is they don't pickup the phone. If I could've talked to them for 2 minutes before I went there, could've saved me a lot of time.

I had no issues, book appointments on line & show up on time you will have no issues. Make sure all paper work is done properly & submit. Staff are always very helpful & polite. Those that complained photo booth does not work or copy machine it is your own fault, you should have prepared everything as asked on Visa Application form. Advice to applicants go to professional photography studio, don’t be cheap & go to Shoppers Drug Mart or the like, same for Canadian Passports. Photos rejected have to take more time off work, pay for more pictures.
