The Barnhouse Bakery

Always worth the drive. The perogies are great. The chocolate chip cookies are perfect texture and not overly sweet. They make a great cookie icecream sandwhich. The owner is friendly, knowledgable and takes great pride in her creations ( as she should be). I look forward to trying the cream puffs soon!

I've visited dozens of gluten free bakery, from Quebec city, to Montreal, to Ottawa, to Niagara falls, from New York, to Boston, to Saint-Jovite, and even Europe. I know some are good, some are even great, but the Barnyard as this little something more. This little something that tastes like grandma's baking, that taste like it as all the gluten propriety "look, texture and taste", but without the gluten.

Did they pay me to say this, Hell no! I drove 1h30 and back, to go buy cookies, brownies, lemon loaf, etc, and I'd go back tomorrow without hesitation.

This master baker has earned my respect, this newlywed and mother as earned my loyalty as a grateful customer. 2 years in a making, she has got her business in a very competitive place and I salute her hard work and her success.

Lovely Celiac-friendly goodies! It feels weird saying this as someone with a tremendous sweet tooth, but one thing I really appreciate about the stuff I've tried here is that it is not over-sweetened.
