P7 Gatineau Park

Head of some of the best trails in the park!

The P7 trailhead leads to numerous different hike possibilities. It begins with a moderate incline and then then there are about two steep inclines in all path directions. Trail 1 where my photos were taken is a mostly easy hike along the fire road, with intermittent steep hills. It is an enjoyable hiking location that is shared with bikes btw. Cyclists are very considerate sharing and notifying hikers if their presence.
Things to see: bogs, swamps, ponds different treed areas, rock outcrops even an owls if you have a good eye etc.

This is an awesome park to go for a walk, hike, jog. Nice trails into the woods, usually not that busy. Highly recommend

Nice trail. I go there to access the Skyline trail. Trail can get muddy so wear appropriate shoes. Didn’t seem as difficult as the website mentioned.

One of my fave parts of the park so far. The Skyline trail is where it's at.

The skyline trail was not our intended destination but where we ended up. It was a great workout and the views were a wonderful reward. Can't wait to go back and see the fall colors. Definitely not a stroller type trail but we did see families enjoying the trail as well.

The trail is very nice it has easy and hard trails, the elevator is high enough to raise your heart rate and easy ones for bike ride too

Wonderfully groomed cross country skiing trails with both classic and skating

P7 is one of my favorite spots. It can get busy on weekends but if you are lucky and go there during the week, parking is free. In winter, you can use trail 30 and 1 and go up to koegan chalet, being some sandwiches and candles and once you reach the chalet there, (once it can be allowed to do so after covid), get some wood that is already chopped from outside and throw some on the iron cast fireplace, light it up and warm your sandwiches . Sit back and relax. Great romantic spot for first dates heheh
