Went to get a map and understanding of the area. They spoke French and English and provided me with a photocopy of the trail black 15 blue 15 blue 36 to pink Lake. They were very helpful courteous. They had small displays and some souvenirs. They can also guide you on which roads are closed where the parking lots are and parking fees if needed. If you are planning on attending any area in the park, I would stop in first just to get the lowdown.

Great place for kids to visit and learn about the flora and fauna at the Gatineau Park! Kids enjoyed learning names of the animals and identifying their sounds! Good interactive activities and a workbook!

One of the best Parks I have seen in Canada until now, what an amazing, awesome, wonderful forest very quiet. We enjoyed a lot walking around crossing the bridge, I like that the people do not throw anything in the grass and it's very clean 👌 and well organized.
I love this Country.
Really Canada 🇨🇦 is an Fascinating country

A beautiful sunny relatively warm March day so we ventured out to enjoy some sunshine and nature with a stop at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre. The centre itself is beautifully constructed and completely accessible to wheelchairs in addition to some of its adjacent paths leading from the Centre. Inside the centre there is an information centre with recommendations for local sites or planning your visit at the centre, plus a selection of souvenirs for visitors. The are fully accessible washrooms and a nature museum with a history of the park and its wildlife inhabitants. The area next to the centre also has spaces for a picnic and benches. We took a short walk through the woods across a steel bridge over a small creek and enjoyed the quiet peace of the ancient forest that surrounded us. Lots of dog walkers on that Sunday and we had the chance to meet a few new 4-legged friends. Across the street from the centre there are several merchants and a variety of local restaurants/bakery. The photo attached is from the National Capital Commission library and features the interpretive display of wildlife and history of the park.

This is much more than a Park it's kinda a conservation area at the foot of Gatineau Hills. Nice parks and sitting area, Cycling 🚲 trails, Tracking Trails and Walking trails.
It's has parking stops every 500 meters. And every site has a completely different face of this huge area.
I have explored just 3 spots. Alot to be explored.
1. Welcome Centre....... This offers the best Cycling tracks and Cyclist community. About 10 Km is the next stop.
2. Gatineau Park Visitor Center.......... It has parks and Tracking and Walking Tracks. 4 km is the next stop.
3. MacKenzie King Estate. It has pink lake and the residence of 10th PM of Canada 🇨🇦 He has served 3 different terms 1921-1926, 1926-1930 and then 1935 to 1948. It's has very nice monuments and historic buildings.

Lots to see and do. Hiking, biking, boating, bird watching. Pink Lake and King Mountain Trail are wonderful in the fall. You can easily spend a whole day there when weather is good. Some of the trails may be a bit challenging, especially after rain. So be careful.

It’s a beautiful place here. Nothing really speaks for the over water sunset with gorgeous horizons at different depths and height.

Would you not want to get away to let the sun set clear your eye balls for sensory overload for just one evening and take this in? City slickers get slammed by this.. if you live in the city and find certain aspects of life beautiful, if this doesn’t do anything for you, you simply must be dead inside…
I had to stop and check this out.
We never made it to our destination point because my wife and I saw this, she had no trouble coming back another time to see this site!
We planned an alternate Day and time to re attempt our original destination..

Little man loved this too. He definitely wants to come back here next time we can, we’re from the city so the most we get is Petrie island which falls heavily in comparison to this. We certainly don’t get sun sets like these either.

We were at lac phillipe and had a great experience. It's a natures paradise. Just the drive around the lakes are mind blowingly picturesque. Theres so many water rentals available. It's great to spend an entire day or more if you into camping. Mountains around and green. Will visit here during fall to see the colors.

A Fall visit to this great park in Gatineau is a definite must for any nature lover. Even if you're not a nature buff the surroundings are a sight to behold. October is definitely the optimal time to see a myriad of bright vibrant reds, yellow, oranges and greens and it is a visual feast for the senses! I highly recommend visiting this park at least once!

This is a tricky one to rate since it's so huge and has so many parts, but if you love the outdoors there are tons of places to visit and things to see. Lakes and waterfalls, trails and all difficulties and distances of hiking. I love it in the park.

Offers an easy trail that you can do with your dogs, toddlers, or elderly companions. There’s also a mini-museum on site and kids love that!
We always come here during changing of the seasons and there’s enough parking on site.

Superb place whether you're hiking, cross country skiing or snow shoeing. Beautiful well maintained trails with amazing views of nature. The staff is friendly, offering tips for different routes based on skill level. Plus the amazing location, just 15 minutes from Ottawa and the Quebec-Ontario border.

First time visiting Quebec. Absolutely stunning park! We stayed in a drive in site that was almost like interior camping it was so far off the trail. Tons of wildlife and very clean! Even the outhouses/dry toilets were very clean and well maintained. Not smelly and gnarly like most parks I have visited. Will definitely return.
