It's an icon for shopping. You can get all items under one roof.
Right from clothing, perfumes, footwear, makeup items, jewellery, furniture, household items, cookery ware, bedding accessories, toys, eatables, etc
Shopping at Hudson is very therapeutic.

It is the flag store of a historical shopping center. The building is large with basically everything you can possible imagine. The store offers a wide selection of clothing, accessories, and home goods. Customers have praised the store for its friendly and helpful staff, wide selection of products, and during the Bay Days reasonable prices. Overall, i have a positive experience shopping at The Bay Store. Over the years this place became one of the most appreciated stores in Toronto.

I don't understand why people don't shop here more often. The staff is friendly and helpful, the products are such a good quality that it will last you years without having it again. They had bay days and it made everything affordable! Shop here people!

I visited this branch searching for a formal jacket suit, and I hate formal wear, yet surprisingly I found something I like and at a more affordable price than expected.

Also another family member shopped at this branch and reported they found selections and quality not seen in other branches, and I can attest to that as they have 5 huge levels in the building and a very wide selection indeed.

The building itself is old, and the flooring squeaks on some sections of the top level, which could use more renovation and some air conditioning as well even in the Winter, but I think "Vintage" and "Classic" are better words to describe the shopping experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this department store. It was like walking into the past, the way department stores used to be. They were fully stocked with everything. The section of home goods was amazing.

I like the place this time but I am not a regular visiter to this store. My wife wanted to buy a dress for an upcoming event, so I tried this location. I like the presentation and even prices as well. It was worth going.

It is a great experience to visit this place. While some prices are quite high (many brand names and high end products) but you can find more affordable items (especially during sales). it is probably one of the last places in Toronto to see such elaborate and artful displays.
recently I've visited the 3rd and 4th floor to look at women's clothing: the 3rd floor offers pricier choices by major labels, while on the 4th you can find more casual/affordable selection. the 4th floor is also home to lingerie and children's clothing.
I always found navigating HBC stores (I used to frequent the one at Bloor and Yonge before it closed recently) quite challenging: the signage is quite sparse and it took a few visit to figure out my way around.
At Queen street location it is especially (IMHO) difficult to find one's way from the lowest level. the lighting cab be also quite deceitful: some displays use spectrum very similar to daylight giving false hope that one is near a window or entrance (which would help to orient oneself). It is definitely not a big box store experience.
it might be hard to find an open register, but if you find an employee they are usually very helpful and if they can't assist themselves (like they are not authorised to use cash register themselves) they will lead you to another employee or summon somebody.
There are some very good finds on discount racks, but it requires time and patience to go through them - you can reconnect with your inner hunter-gatherer. Even if an items is tagged with a sale price it is good to price-check before purchase: some pieces might be actually cheaper than the label indicates (as another discount is applied). But be prepared for the opposite: I would find a piece of clothing among (or next to) discounted products only to find out that this particular model/colour is not on sale.
it is definitely a perfect place for those with lots of money to spend.

What an amazing experience we had yesterday, April 16th, on the 4th floor undergarments section. The staff was so kind and spent so much time with my 82 year old mother by giving her a proper fitting. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name…. I think it was Shelly? Sharon? But I am not sure.

I just want to recognize Sajid Haque in the furniture department. Sajid is a very helpful sales person. He goes out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction and provides good input on the products. If anyone is shopping for furniture I highly recommend Sajid.

The fragrance department in this Hudson’s Bay branch has become my go-to in Downtown Toronto. The department located on the main floor, provides customers with a large variety of perfumes. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert in finding the best perfume of your choice, as this department has great employees to help you with your purchase. Early 2022, I’ve met one of their best employees (Hedy). Since then, I’ve become a big fan of this department. She is friendly, warm, and more importantly very knowledgeable. She spends good time to understand her customers’ taste, and offers them the best deal that matches what they’re looking for. She is very passionate about her work and that gives me piece of mind to make my best decision and enjoy my purchase.
So far, I had multiple purchases for myself and my parents and we are all super satisfied. If you visit this Hudson’s Bay, ask her for help. You won’t be disappointed.

Not sure if they still work there since it’s been about a year, but Ladan from the dress department was so helpful when I was trying to find a summer wedding guest dress. Really nice experience in the dressing rooms!

My favorite shopping spot in the entire Toronto. Very courteous and friendly staff. You get variety of options for almost all the household items and apparels.
If you look for sale days and pay more attention to clearance section you will definitely get some steal deals. It's located in the heart of the city as well.

My fave Hudson Bay ever! So many floors and plenty of inventory. Love all the selection. I bought my wedding dress at Kleinfields on their top floor. Always a good store for any occasion. I always find something and always good sales/clearance.

Had a wonderful experience from Shalin P. This store and staff does not deserve some of the reviews left here. I would highly encourage people to shop at The Bay

The Hudson Bay Store is a shadow of its former self. Saks is on 2 floors, while the rest is HBC. My favourite part of the store is in the basement, where you will find a terrific selection of iconic HBC branded merchandise. If you are a tourist looking for a typically Canadian gift, this is the place to buy it.

Great selection of brands and good sales happen from time to time. It’s a nice place to browse without pressure. One of my favourites!
