Sheppard Centre Dental

After avoiding dentists for years, I finally booked an appointment at Sheppard Centre Dental and it was the best decision! Dr. Lo, Christina, and Rowena were super friendly and made me feel totally at ease. They were all about making sure I was comfortable and actually listened to my concerns.

Dr. Lo was great at explaining everything without all the jargon, and her team was right there with smiles and pleasant conversation. It felt like catching up with friends who also just happen to be excellent at dental care! :)

Honestly, if you're nervous about going to the dentist or just looking for a place where you're treated well, this is the spot. Big thanks to Dr. Lo and her team for making my dental comeback a breeze!

I have been coming to this dental clinic since I was a child and I am more and more impressed every time I go. The staff are all incredibly friendly and professional, and best of all, incredibly accommodating. They understand better than anyone how busy life can be, and go above and beyond in making sure every appointment is simple for the patient. I now live in downtown Toronto and it’s a no brainer to make the trip uptown when it’s time for a cleaning. I wouldn’t have my teeth looked after anywhere else.

The best experience we’ve had at a dental office! My whole family is under their care for years and they all have had pleasant experiences. Dr. Doust is extremely kind and knowledgeable and has always helped us avoid unnecessary dental procedures while addressing all of our concerns.The front staff deserve their own recognition for always making us feel at ease, from accommodating appointment changes to dealing with insurance companies. Everyone at Sheppard Centre Dental is absolutely amazing. The admin staff are so sweet and welcoming. They know exactly what they are doing and are up-to-speed on insurance claims. I always have a pleasant experience when I visit here. The dental hygienists are great and so personable and caring. They really take the time to chat with you and engage. always see Stephanie and she is great, always strives for perfection and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome while leaving with sparkling, clean, white teeth. My dentist - Dr. Lo is absolutely phenomenal - she is so caring, generous, sweet and sincere. She always keeps me in the loop with what she is doing while working on my teeth and always updates me on my oral health and discusses the best approach to tackle things. She is the only dentist I have ever had that I feel like she actually, genuinely cares and wants to be involved. I haven't had the best experiences with dentists in my past but she makes the visits something to look forward to and makes my visit complete. I feel like I have such a great and personal relationship with everyone there. I highly recommend this dental clinic to anyone looking for a new dentist. There is not enough praise in the world that I can give them. I feel like a part of the family.

I have had Dr. Terk as my dentist and Alvie as my Hygenist for many, many years (let's not age ourselves by using an actual number LOL). Even though I am anxious before each appointment, they have always kept my comfort at the forefront of each appointment. I have had nothing but positive experiences with absolutely ALL the staff at this dental office - from out front and throughout. I have now had the pleasure (yes, it was actually a pleasure) of a dental appointment at this office with Dr. Doust and have to say it was the most pain-free experience I have had where a needle was involved (I have a HUGE fear of needles and am in an anxious state from the morning onward when I know a needle needs to be involved) and I don't believe I will be as anxious now in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you put your faith in them.

Dentist is Dr Lo and shes amazing. Very gentle, explains everything happening as they work away. Knows her stuff. Great sense of humour that puts you right at ease and comfortable. I almost fell asleep during some fillings.

I have been with Dr. Terk since he started his practice. At the time I was a single parent with limited income, he took care of me and my son for minimal costs even though he had just started his practice. I never forgot his kindness and have been a patient of his his entire career. He is a kind and gentle dentist and I would refer him very highly. His staff are top notch, his Hygienist (Lori) fabulous. I actually looked forward to going to the dentist!

Everyone is kind, caring, professional. I had terrible experiences at the dentist as a young person and this dental clinic has really helped me overcome those anxieties. Seriously awesome!! Can't recommend enough!

Great dental service and great receptionists!
I had an emergency toothache on Saturday morning and the receptionist booked me in quickly in less than 2 hours. I called around 8:25AM, before their open time, and the receptionist answered my call with patience and care!
Dr. Lo treated me with her great experience and expertise, and she explained all necessary details patiently! I have had dental anxiety each time when I see the dentist, but with Dr. Lo, I am much relaxed (Dr. Lo could sense my anxiety and address it properly with care and alternatives during treatment.).

Dr. Terk was the only dentist working evenings when I broke a corner off a tooth. He made time for me that evening and repaired my tooth. He also showed me the huge amount of buildup on my bottom front teeth and told me I really should get my teeth cleaned. He was very correct. The amount of buildup the hygienist cracked off my teeth was shocking. I now return twice per year for cleanings and I believe I will now keep my teeth for my lifetime. Agrateful

Dr. Terk and his associates are professional, skilled, efficient and very approachable. He's been our family dentist for over 35 years and throughout that time we've recommended him to many of our friends. He takes the time to explain procedures and provides exceptional care....and pain free! Special kudos to hygienist Lori who does a stellar job, and always with a quick and friendly smile. The front desk staff keep this office running "like a Swiss clock" and are efficient and accommodating. A trip to the dentist is actually a pleasure....wouldn't go anywhere else! Highly recommend.

Hands down the best dental care I've had.
- Alvie is my hygienist. She has the best vibe - sunny and nice. She doesn't shame me for my difficulty in maintaining good oral hygiene and instead tries to find solutions that are sustainable and work for me. She's great at positive reinforcement and I look forward to seeing her for my cleanings. Even with my issues she's skillful and scaling is not too painful.
- I've seen a few of the dentists here and they're all pretty good. I've found all of them skillful, polite, and knowledgable. I generally feel heard, and the fillings I've done have all been quick, painless, and high quality. No issues.
- The front desk staff knows their stuff and are quick and helpful. They help get everything figured out for you and make the rebooking, insurance, and payment process as simple as possible.
- The best tech! I really like how the dentists will show me my x-rays and point out where I have cavities and watch spots vs healthy teeth so I can see the difference and be more motivated to keep my mouth in better shape, and so I know exactly where they'll be working and what they'll be doing. I've also had mouthguards done here, and although the first had a design flaw, they fixed it right away (it's done by an outside company but this office handled resolving the issue) and I've not had any issues since.

I don't really LOVE going to the dentist (who does??) but the experience I have here is good so I don't delay or procrastinate going back when I'm supposed to. It's as pleasant an experience as one can have.

For the past few years I have been on a search for a good dentist with a friendly and ethical office. I gave this place a try about a year ago and it has been one of the best decisions I have made so far. Dr Doost has been my dentist and I hope he plans on staying long-term. He is extremely patient and supportive. He answers all your questions and educates you further to ensure you are fully ready for any procedure. I recently removed my wisdom teeth and the amount of support I received from my doctor, his amazing assistant and Jolly from the reception desk was extremely satisfactory. My overall experience at the office has been very pleasant and I would strongly recommend them to anyone!!

I am very pleased with Dr. Doust, who recently did my wisdom teeth extraction a few days ago. My experience through-out the procedure was great, as he is a very thorough and skilled dentist. He is very down to earth and welcoming, creating my oral surgery experience significantly better than I had anticipated. I am very pleased with his work and will most definitely return to this clinic and to Dr. Doust in the near future.

Dr Terk's Dental Clinic is where you want to go for all of your and your families' dental needs. The administrative employees are efficient and professional. They are working under very difficult times. And they are still very pleasant. My hygienist Evra ( I know I spelt her name wrong,she is Italian) is above professional status. She did what she needed to do in a confident manner to get me ready to see Dr. Terk, as I was late for my visit with her. I had recorded the wrong start time, that put her behind in the time she truly needed to get me ready to see Dr. Terk, and she still made me feel welcome. She accomplished her exam to allow Dr. Terk to begin my New Patient exam.

Dr. Terk has many, many years of experience in dentistry. He has a very calm nature. I have to go back to see him 3 times for dental work. As well, I need to go back to see my hygienist for a hygiene appointment. I am very relaxed about my future appointments.

I thank all of you at the dental clinic for making me feel so comfortable and calm.

My entire family have been going to Dr Terk's office for 35 years. They are amazing and have been like family to us. Over these many years we have had the pleasure of being in the care of every hygienist and love them all. Dr Terk has been very kind and has been amazing. His front office staff have been warm and caring towards us for decades. Most recently we have had work done by Dr Doust who is fantastic as well. He is very good at what he does and makes us feel very comfortable. The drive from Pickering has always been worth it for us.

There are too many positive things to say about Dr. Terk and his staff in a single review, but I'll give it a shot.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, professional and have always answered all of my questions.

Every visit has been hassle free and they have always gone the extra mile to ensure I come away truly pleased with my visit.

I used to go to a dentist downtown near my work and so glad I switched couple of years ago wish I'd done it sooner. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful, the hygienist is wonderful (Elvie) I no longer have discomfort during cleanings, and Dr. Lo is patient, thorough and friendly. I highly recommend this clinic.

Took the entire family to see Dr.Lo at Sheppard Centre Dental. Our experience was exceptional from beginning to end. Both kids had their 1st appointment and they are super excited to get back in the chair to see Dr. Lo. I got 3 fillings and her work is great. I didn't feel any pain she was extremely gentile and concerned for my well being at all times. My wife also had a great experience and we are glad we chose Dr.Lo and the Sheppard Centre Dental team.
