The name might throw you off as the food is Eastern European, but California restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in the east end! The service and atmosphere are fantastic. The staff definitely makes you feel like family when you eat here. The food is delicious and the portions are big. They usually have live music on Saturday nights as well.

The BEST Food i had in Toronto.
Gurmanska pljeskavica is a must,crepes are delicious,homemade bread with butter is mm so goood - service is super fast and polite and their outside seating during summer is great vibe.
Pricing is really good since the meal sizing is huuuge :) hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

First time going to this spot, recommended by my brother. Traditional Balkan food, super delicious!!! The meats were well seasoned and full of flavor and the portions were large. Will be visiting again!

I was in Toronto for a couple of days; and it was an extremely hot and humid day. I was desperately looking for a place to sit down, relax and enjoy a meal until I stumbled upon this hidden gem! The owner is a wonderful woman from Macedonia and we had amazing conversations which made me forget the heat wave! Inside was cool, the beer was fresh and rejuvenating and dishes from Eastern Europe (Serbia, Macedonia, etc.) were incomparable. Definitely the spot to check out for all Torontonians and travellers =)

The food is amazing and made with love. If you're looking for a taste of Balkan Food in Toronto, highly recommended. The servers were nice and friendly.

I went here with my family while dining was still permitted and we received excellent service. This was was my second time going back and having their Kebapi/Ćevapi which was delicious both times. Second time I had it with their Ajvar, Kajmak and a Shopska Salad on the side! I can't wait to go back! Great, traditional Macedonian restaurant! I highly recommend coming here and trying the authentic Macedonian cuisine as it is hard to find Macedonian places like this in the area! Definitely check it out!!

Great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff. Golden combination for me was their Mediterranean salad with the sea bass fish cooked to perfection 👌. 👌👌

Very homey place, with good portions of good Eastern European comfort food at good prices. Their cakes are really good.

We stopped by here for a quick bite. I think the staff mentioned the restaurant was Macedonian but they seemed to have food from a couple different cultures. I had a chicken souvlaki it was delicious. The patio was actually really nice and made more private with plants. I would return again jus for the patio. Price was reasonable.

We’ve been patrons of this restaurant for a number of years and the food is always very fresh and tasty. The owners and staff are always friendly, accommodating and the service is very good. They also have a very charming patio to enjoy in the nice weather. Would recommend!

Great service and food! We are massive fans of the goulash served on mashed potatoes. Here's a picture of our go-to dish. Highly recommended!

Great Eastern European food! The Goulash was excellent, tender with tasty mashed as a side – delicious. Good schnitzel, interesting pleskavica served with nice crispy fries. Friendly service, generous servings. An absolute hidden neighborhood gem. I will be back on my next cheat day.

Really enjoyed our dinner here! Had the grilled calamari and salmon entrees, and both were fantastic. Better than many higher priced places in the city. And service was very friendly and efficient! Nice drink selection as well. First time here, but we’ll be back for sure to try other items on the menu.

A very pleasant experience. Our server right from the point that she greeted us was warm and welcoming. Felt the authentic European experience fill the air automatically.

The food was pretty tasty. We had the calamari and the boorska and they were both very good. I have been looking for a cevapi place for a while and who knew it was just in my backyard. Loved every second of the experience. Will come back again....with family :)
