The Frog: A Firkin Pub

I was in town from BC and ended up going to the Frog with another old friend who also happened to be in town visiting. I remember this pub from many years ago when I used to live in the area. I have to say, it didn't disappoint. I was thrilled to see the interior hadn't changed much from what I remember and that the pub still had that very cozy feel to it. We happened to be there unexpectedly on trivia night and what a fun time it was! Great host, awesome crowd of people and the bartenders/servers are extremely kind and attentive. Overall, it was an amazing and nostalgic evening. Thanks for the great time! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Just love the Frog!! They really work at serving you food you will enjoy and there is a positive feeling in the pub. That’s because the staff are terrific! Normally on the days I’m in the waitresses are Alesha and Jasmine and they make the customers feel at home and I’ve never seen them in a bad mood despite running off their feet. The patios are also very enjoyable on a nice day! 🍻

Work nearby and come here all time after the day is done. Food is pretty good and have found the service to be fantastic. Staff have been very friendly and have bothered to take the time to get to know me and my colleagues - shout out to Dahlia! Makes for a great, welcoming environment!

Place is great, and I personally prefer it to other venues of the same format, including big brands. I want to compliment the staff, very attentive and professional. Take Dalia, for example, she was my server for the past week, both at the dining table and the bar. I will remember The Frog for how she was professional and polite. This is my go to place when in North York. No doubt.

If you like beers, connecting with new people, play pools then this is your go to place. It's easy to meet new people and get connected. Service is also good however food could have been better as compared to it's ambience and service. We went as a group of 8 and it was fun. There are ample of space and high chairs and tables.

Our party was upstairs and we had fantastic service by Dahlya, she was attentive to our table and great knowledge of the products offered. Will definitely be returning and looking forward to the patio being open!

Apps are general pub fare and standard fried frozen chain pub food, with some pretty decent fresh options. Good pool tables and a quite nice semi-private dart board room. Service can be a bit of a hit or miss depending on where you are and how busy they are, but the servers upstairs (Specifically Dahlia, who is incredible and remembers the most distant visitors and their preferences weeks or months later), and the energetic lifer (dart pro who’s name escapes me) are exceptional.

Burger was pretty good. They threw in some onion rings with the fries which was nice.

The atmosphere is very much like a pub. At the time I went they had alternative rock from the 1990s to 2000s on which I loved!

A great place to visit after our long seniors hike. We all appreciated the friendly service, and the comfortable seats and couches. Thank you for being accommodating to our large group.

Great selection of food and drinks. Nice environment and ample amount of patio space. The service was very good, friendly and fast paced. Had a great time overall.

Cannot stress enough how great the service is here. Always welcomed and checked on to ensure everything is up to the best standard. Absolutely love stopping by for here for lunch. Wings are also fantastic.

I absolutely love this place. My partner and I are vegan and it's awesome that they cater to everyone, including us veg heads. :)

We've ordered the Plant Power burger for the past 3 days in a row because it's THAT good (no joke). Even more, we were surprised to find a couple of Samuel Adams beer glasses and shot glasses in our bags that they continue to give us as freebies with our Uber Eats orders (they totally didn't have to do this!). I encourage anyone reading this to support this restaurant (and their local mom and pap restaurants), especially during these unprecedented times.

Great place for the boys. Atmosphere is relaxed and doesn't close till 2am. All bars around close around 12 and that server you were eyeing and drooling over at the keg that wouldn't give you the day or time goes there after to unwind. You're welcome fellas!!!!😉☄⚡🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫

Good standard bar where it's hard to find something not bougie. I could eat their wings every day.

I went in to get a Guinness on St. Patrick's Day (after work). I found the place well decorated. The crowd was a good mixture of old and young. The kitchen was still open. Had the fish and chips (Fries), good portion for the price. The fish wasn't overly battered nor saturated in oil. The place had a friendly, laid back feel, yet enjoyable. The service was outstanding everyone was eager to see you served, and there was consistent follow up on how you were doing.

Service was prompt and pleasant. Being midweek lunch there weren't many people there, so I don't know what it's like when it's busy. I enjoyed the food. I had a curry and I asked for extremely hot. I am used to high heat curries as I come from the UK. It came just hot. I understand that, the way I make it is probably inevitable to most Canadians. One of the surprises is that this place is more like an English pub than any place I've been to in Toronto. Somehow they managed to capture the essence.

we are a regular here and we always love to come back. A special shout out to Dahlia for being so nice to the group
