Tufts' Your Independent Grocer Toronto

Used to be Valumart, now part of the independent grocer chain. The store is not as big as the average No Frills or Food basic stores, but the beef quality is always exception compare to other places.

Excellent over priced coffee, nice if you can get a seat to relax and enjoy there nice decor and quiet environment

Visited this place for the first time having driven by it over the years. What a nice surprise. Clean, ordered and relatively well-stocked. Some of the on sale items are priced very competitively-the lowest in the neighborhood. It's worth checking out from time to time.

I love going here to do my grocery shopping because everything is fresh and easy to find. Also the prices are very cheap compared to some other stores and I get all my points on my pc optimum card so it’s all worth it

If you live around, just check there out, some good sales are available everyday. Almost everything is there for you.

This store has the most thorough and dedicated Covid protocols I have seen anywhere. Managers were actively directing staff to clean. Aisles were kept clear, staff went out of their way to keep distance from customers. Check out it well organized.

Valu-Mart is the local grocery store where I live, and I have to say that its staff and management are unparalleled in their quality of service. It feels more like a small ma & pop store than part of a large company. The staff genuinely care about providing great service, and even the fellow customers make this store feel like home as there are a lot of happy, repeat customers. Some customers have even moved out of the area, but they still come back to Valu-Mart because of the great service. The prices are fair and comparable to Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart. The produce is always high quality, as is the meat from the meat department and the deli has a lot of delicious, quality ready-made food to choose from.

The best option for saving money is to have the Optimum card as there are a lot of deals every week to get a lot of points, and every 10,000 points is $10 toward anything in the store. Make sure you check the flyers every week for more deals, but the best opportunity to collect Optimum points and save money is through the Optimum app on your phone.

You don't have to walk a mile to get the milk. Love the smaller size of this store. Parking at the door. Small hometown feel. Nice to get away from big box store. Perfect for when you just want to get in and out without feeling you have to walk a football field. They have everything you need.

I don't buy my regular groceries but I go here often to find things that are out of stock in my normal grocery. They almost always seem to have things like Lysol wipes, paper towel and masks even when other places are out during the pandemic. Additionally, their multiple pricing is great so I always seem to pickup other thinks while I am there.

A smaller store which to me is a nice change from all the gigantic grocery stores! Good selection with friendly, helpful staff

Everything is clearly marked. Always has reserves for items on sale.

This store feels like a small town grocery store, not very big or overly busy but has all the things you need. Staff are very friendly and courteous. It's bright and very clean. Shoppers are mostly elders and very pleasant

Convenient for close by residents. Decent selection & nice deli/salad bar. Some things are priced high. Really good staff.

I experienced excellent customer care here this evening when grocery shopping with 2 kids under 5yrs of age😊 Much gratitude to staff Adam & Sarah who were friendly to the kids and extra supportive to me (helping bag all the food up, help with coats for kids etc..) I really appreciate the kindness & hospitality of this location.

One of the better groceries stores around. Good sales on meat, produce sales are good as well. Wish they had more 60 calorie chocolate pudding in stock!

Carries President's Choice products so my guess it's part of the Loblaws family. A lot smaller than a Loblaws or No Frills but store was well stocked, maintained and clean. Despite carrying the same products, their specials were different from Loblaws or No Frills. For example, a tin of PC coffee was $8.99 while at No Frills it was regularly prices at $11.99.
