Great stop on 401, free activities for kids, local artisans and opens all year long! You can watch how they make the apple pie and the apple bread. The apple pie was super fresh, totally recommend to stop here when traveling in the area

A detour to The Big Apple In Colborne, Ontario while driving to Kingston from Toronto was great. We got the Traditional apple pie. Did it taste good? For sure! Will we get it again? Yes!. We got some ice cream and souvenirs too. we think a visit to this place is a must.

I almost feel embarrassed that it’s taking me this many visits to the Big Apple to write a Google review for them.

As a kid, my parents would stop at the big apple every time we would head to our cottage. There are so many good memories that I have of this place and I hope to continue!

So much amazing food, so many great things to see here, this is definitely a five star establishment !

I come to this place once a year with Family and/or friends. We like to buy “pasalubong” or something to give as a treat to our family and friends back to Toronto, Scarborough and Markham.

Tons of parking, washrooms are available, small playground is available for kids during summer. There’s also Fish n chips restaurants beside it just incase you get there for lunch.

Baked goods and pies are always freshly baked and delicious 😋 yum yum!!
Must visit place!!!

Whether on the way to Toronto or heading back, I always make a point to stop by this place. It's such a delightful spot to spend some time. My go-to treats are the apple bread and the cherry cruller, but honestly, everything they serve is fantastic. It's definitely a must-visit spot.

Worth a visit and a great pitsstop on the 401 East. Ample parking space. Lots of activities to do for kids. Good Food options inside and also in the food trucks that were present outside. They have so many varieties of desserts and bakery items. Very hard to resist. Priced nominally. There is a mini golf course which even adults can play, some rides for the kids and a petting zoo as well. A great spot for a summer weekend.

I visited The Big Apple after almost 30 years while on my to eastern Ontario. I remember them having the best apple pies amongst other menu items. But I did not anticipate the sheer options they had. The Christmas decorations inside had been set up and the experience was that of being transported to a Christmas market wonderland. Took a while to take in all the various displays. I ended up grabbing some fresh maple syrup and apple crumble, but I will be back for sure ( to take in the Christmas market and other activities).

Even after all these years the food quality has only gotten better. I strongly recommend anyone heading along the 401 to take sometime and stop in. You won't be disappointed. Even if you don't have a trip planned its only a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto and well worth the visit.

A nice stop along the way heading between Ottawa and Toronto. Nice clean washrooms are always a good find on a road trip. 👌 Apple pie can be hit and miss, I guess. The first time I came here, I had the best Apple pie from here, and it's never been as good as that since. It's still pretty good, though, so I keep coming back. Apple bread 🍞 for the win here. Always consistently good. As of writing this review, the sign says they have sold over 2 million loaves. They must be doing something right to sell that many. Had the traditional poutine. It was acceptable.

I’ve passed by here many times and finally stopped for a short visit in September. It didn’t disappoint! There are so many apple products, including things that I would never have imagined. I got a good old apple pie, and I quite enjoyed it. The big apple face is cute. A nice place to stop by during your drive!

Interesting and fun market to visit for locals and tourists. Lots of variety of food, but mostly guilty pleasures (pie, pizza, candy, beavertail, donut, chocolate, maple treats, etc.). The big apple has an observation deck at the top. I'll be sure to visit again in the future.

They have free level 2 EV chargers.

This is a key stop whenever I am passing by.

The place is fun and there are so many things to see. The petting zoo is a nice little attraction, the goats are hilarious.

The poutines here are probably the best I've had and I cannot recommend them enough! Would say they have the best candy apples ever too!

They have a lot of free things for the kids to do which is great (mine went mini putting & to the petting zoo). They also have a cider brewery which produces good cider and the apple pie is so yummie. It's a nice little place to hit with the kids for a day trip out of the city.

Used to cross this big apple while driving towards west from Toronto. This is the first time we got the opportunity to explore this. I haven't realized how interesting it is. They build the place thoughtfully. We enjoyed all activities and different food. Their vegetable pie is the best one in my life.

Nice place to buy apple pies and lot of delicacy. We bought Sparkling Apple cider, crullers and turnovers. I love the turnovers and apple cider. Both are delicious. There is a nice open view of the staff preparing Apple pies. Awesome. Lot of attractions around the park with a big Apple smiley, farmers market with fresh natural goods, rides for children, fish and chips, souvenir shops etc. Best place to stop and relax on 401 highway.

My favourite place for freshly made apple fritters and pies! A must stop if you’re driving along the 401, its super easy to spot with the giant apple in the front.
On weekends they have local small businesses, they always have food trucks, a petting zoo, and mini putt for the kids as well.

The Big Apple doesn't disappoint :) There are a lot of 'apple' options like pie, strudel, cider and a ton more. Moreover, the smokehouse fills the area with a satisfying smell. Looks like over a few thousand products to shop and there is also a garden decor boutique. Lots of fune for everyone.

Every year, we go here at least once! Always worth a visit.

The food selection is great. Mumble Crumble apple pie is the BEST apple pie there is!!!

There is a great area for kids to go golfing, a free carousel and free train ride, and a free farm to visit! What a fun place for little kids with zero cost at all.

The giant apple structure is a great photo op and I believe you can climb up inside it but we have never tried.

It gets really busy at times especially when there is a bus of tourists that comes along but it never bothered our visit or experience.
