Today, on my way home from a trip, I decided to stop at Ray's Antique store after deciding to take backroads rather than the highway. I saw the antique shop on the corner, and decided I was in no rush to get home, so I stopped and dragged the girlfriend along with me to check it out. From the very first impression, Ray (the owner) was an absolute delight. He was charming, and had PLENTY of amazing stories and joy to share. We bought some license plates and a fishing lure, but my goodness did he ever have a wide selection of everything. Even better yet, Ray's prices are all quite reasonable on everything! The building itself used to be owned by the Massey's, and once upon a time it was the towns post office (pictures of the old building and mail boxes included). Ray shared some awesome stories about the building, and the towns history, and some stories about himself as well! I really wish I could have sat around and heard some more of them! It was such a great stop, and I'd totally recommend popping in to look around and say hi to Ray! From my girlfriend and I, thanks so much for the great experience Ray! 10/10 come back again!

Stopped by today as we were driving the back roads. Found a prize to take home and had an incredible conversation with Ray. Such a knowledgeable and interesting man. Charming building with a great history. Definitely will be back.

Great little shop in a historic corner store situated at the crossroads that marks the hamlet of Morganston. The proprietor is a pleasant chap to discuss antique with. I attached pictures of items that stood out to me. Especially liked the Cornwall milk bottle and the signed Group of Seven print.

Found ourselves here making our way to Niagara Falls and taking the backroads- absolutely worth the visit, found a great vintage print of the garden of earthly delights framed and in excellent condition…. But honestly, so so many things and so much history. Excellent pricing and very friendly environment in which to browse.

Such a lovely owner. He was so kind and helpful while I was here! I grabbed some great pieces for some crafts I have planned. One old glass frame is perfect for my wedding flower presses! So much to see, definitely worth checking out.

You don't find old-school antique shops like this too often anymore. Housed in a former general store (check out the post and knob wiring remnants on the ceiling), it has a great selection of larger and smaller pieces. Had a great visit, and we'll be back.

Note: we visited in January, and the store is not heated, so be forewarned.

The owner knows so much about each antique he's inquired and is always happy to share what he knows. I learned all about Vincent Massey while there and got to see his old cubby from the post office he grew up in. I got a very rustic coca cola crate and a can of coke from the Blue Jays '92 series. Very cool stuff to see for sure.

A great selection of unique curios and legitimate antiques. Friendly, honest sales and assistance and charming stories if you have the time. Reasonably priced and not a tourist trap. Beware the spongy floor in the back. :)
