I visited here last summer, based on my friend’s advice, and I have to say I will advise all of you guys to come. This is an extremely beautiful place, especially in summer time. Nova Scotia is famous for its special seaside view, and here is the best place to feel. Imagine the rocky coast along the ocean, high mountains stand in water, curve highway run in between valleys, all of them can be found right here.

Gorgeous national park with some of the best coastal views I've ever seen. Wildlife such as moose, seals, and gulls are plentiful and the famous Skyline Trail is one of the most breathtaking hikes I've ever completed.

Summer is really nice here. Book accommodation early will help you. Bring light jacket if want to stay later even during July. Nice hiking shoes are necessary

It’s a good scene route. I did clockwise drive & enjoyed it. Definitely worth the drive. Lots of hiking options and trails. Good for someone who like hiking and trails, definitely need few days to explore & bring mosquitoes and find accommodation near by park. Make sure your Gas tank is full, sometime cape Breton is out of gas. i

The skyline trail was terrific (even in the rain)!

Point McCloud (I think!) is stunning and massive!

The Cabot Trail is a must-do activity for the scenery, hiking trails, restaurants, and shops!

A group can enter the park for $16.75. Value-packed day trip! Highly, highly, highly recommended!

The Cabot trail has amazing views! Plenty to do, plenty of restaurants and places to visit. I was sad that the chowder house was closed at the time we visited. We checked on the website for their opening hours but I guess something came up and they didn't open. But there were plenty other choices. We took the whole day to complete the trail. (298km) at the end of the trail, the stores started to close(4pm - 5pm). So plan ahead!

Wow! I feel very lucky to have had the experience of doing the loop and seeing all the beauty of this park! It's one of those places that would inspire someone to write a song. It's also a place where people live, clung to the fringes of the park, nestled in little village settings, getting by on a simpler living. I can easily understand now why Cape Bretoners band together to sing of the simple joys!
This park has some of the most amazing majestic views, You simply cannot rush through it.

We tent camped at Broad Cove. It was rainy for 3 days, but we had the whole beach to ourselves and our last night was glorious with clear night skies and a beautiful view of the Perseids in mid-August. Weekdays are great with the whole park to yourself...but we definitely fed the local mosquitoes and biting flies especially at dusk and dawn. ;-)

What a georgous drive this is.
We stopped at many of the parks pull offs and did a couple trails. Big fan of the Lakeside trail. Especially on a windy rainy day. We saw seals riding in the waves. Sorry no picture. The birds and greenery were plentiful.
Basic vc at Ingonish. The young ladies here seemed knowledgeable about the park they were working in.

Awesome adventure - breath taking. The only advice is give yourself more time. 2 nights was not enough to take it all in.

We drove what we could of the Cabot Trail loop while on a cruise stop in Sydney. NS and it was beautiful!! Just to get to the start of the loop took at least 1.5 hours so we didn't get near as far as we hoped. There are so many places to stop and take pictures or hike a trail to a lake or waterfall or lookout... We definitely want to come back on a vacation in this area to continue our adventure! We visited in mid September and the weather was nice and cooler but if you want to see leaves turning you will have to come much later in the season. Only saw a couple of "tips" of branches with any fall color. It is around $8-9 for a park pass for adults. Worth it.

Lovely site with water, electricity and sewer. Laundry and dishwashing stations within walking distance and super clean comfort stations with showers. A few nice trails on the campground and a beach with the most beautiful colour of sand!

Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a must see if you're visiting Cape Breton. If you're travelling the Cabot Trail, you will need to obtain a park pass to complete it. Entrance is included for those who hold a Discovery Pass. There are tons of hiking trail opportunities, beaches, lakes, lookoff spots, and bathroom breaks along the way. The park also offers camping sites, but we did not camp this time. It's worth a visit just for the spectacular views. We plan on returning in the fall to hike the skyline trail.

Absolutely stunning. Over 20+ trails to choose from, easy to difficult and each trail is very difference. Lots of wildlife to observe during the right season, sea birds, eagles, hawks, bears, coyotes, moose, whales and fish. Absolutely must visit this beautiful national park.

One of a kind. Must see in lifetime. A big check off my must-go checklist. I cried during driving in the park. Many thanks to the great mother nature. I used to think Banff was the best in Canada, now I doubt myself.

What an incredible experience to hike through the park. The weather can change in a heartbeat. The wind can whip up at any time. A rough place. But the views and the hiking was excellent
