Excellent care for my children - regular cleanings and fillings went smoothly and professionally. I love how they take care to checkin and chat w the kid, rather than just the parent. Dr Wong is fantastic, I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Wong and his staff really care. My daughter had a bad accident and they were excellent at their craft. He is amazing with kids. Really appreciate him and his staff taking their lunch off (twice) to help my daughter. Highly highly recommended!!!!

Dr. Bryan Wong is a fantastic specialist! He is so knowledgable and caring. His kind mannerisms and patience put my son at ease and allowed him to examine him without a fight (which I would never have thought possible!). Thank you for all you do we feel so lucky to have found you and your practice!

My kids have been going there for a couple of years now, and we've always had positive experiences with them.
It's awesome when your children are actually excited about going to the dentist and leave with a smile on their faces!

So far so good. Today we had our first appointment for our toddler. She has SPD and is unique, and this office was great. The dentist we saw was so accommodating to our little, told a few jokes etc to ease her into the atmosphere. Theres a kids waiting room with a fun house and a few tv's and comfy benches. They hand you forms to fill out, and a form which explains office rules. Basic to the point. If you miss an appointment, you will be charged (unless notifying them 24 hrs in advance)
The dental receptionist, was kind and soft natured. Very appreciative. Since this was our 1st visit, i say its a great experience. I hope it continues being so.

My kid had a lot of work done here and I almost think it is a little excessive as we get a lot recommendation for works that cost a lot of money but we don't ever receive any general recommendation on how to help prevent those dental problems in the first place. Some works recommended are definitely unnecessary and it really caused a lot of pain for our kid. My partner fails to see this and wouldn't let me get a second opinion as everyone in the office is trying to guilt trip my partner into thinking that if we don't spend the money to fix all the recommended work, we are just bad parents who cheap out on our kid's well-being but I can honestly say all those works are causing a lot of unnecessary pain for our kiddo.

It is nice that they point out that they are 15% more expensive compared to other dentist on their website but it is also terrible in a way they are charging more because they specialize in "kids". Do they ever consider the ethical philosophy behind that statement? It is as if BC Children Hospital comes out to say we will charge more because we specialize in kids. and we want payment upfront before we will do any work and we won't bill your insurance. Those statements and practices really show that they are all about business rather than care.

"Our fees reflect that we are a pediatric specialist office - as such, our fees differ from general dentists by about 15%. "

"Full payment is due at the time of treatment. As a courtesy, our office will file with your insurance company for treatment provided. We will not accept payment from your insurance company. The parent or guardian accompanying the patient is responsible for payment.

Treatment estimates will be presented prior to services being rendered. We accept families eligible for Healthy Kids and First Nations Non-Insured Health Benefits."

At the end, I am leaving this review not because they charge more or are saying that my kid needs work, but as health care professionals, it is just as important to put in the effort to help patients with no-cost recommendations and remedy instead of focusing 100% on revenue generating works. We were basically told every time that just pay and they will fix it and there is no other way. I just don't believe that is right. and I hope they see that being a doctor or a health professional is more than making money. I am not saying do it for free. I am saying you can make money but also help provide long lasting help in forms of consultation and education before and after the work. Our kid's previous dentist is really great at that and I hope this review will help this office grow in that direction.

The asian–looking clerk at the clinic was not very respectful to us. We brought a small kid in, and after the doctor's exam, wanted detailed information on the treatment plan. Instead she kept saying "everything is the same" (sure, the same, after a year after the last exam), and literally every little detail of the planned treatment we had to pull from her. And there were lots of details. I don't care if it's her or not her job to provide this information, we are clients — find somebody appropriate if it's not your job. Even if you already told us these details some time ago. Are you in a rush, running late with other patience? Find other staff member who can help. I should be telling you how to run a dental business? I'm not paid for this. You guys are. And this is clearly where the customer relations suck at your clinic. Just with that particular clerk. Everybody else was particularly friendly

A worker at the dentist hurt my girlfriend’s gums really badly, i really don’t appreciate this and i suggest you make a formal apology to her when you get the chance. This is not right and she deserves to be treated with respect and not get her gums forcefully hurt by this worker. Don’t ever EVER hurt my beautiful girlfriend or ill sue you for endangering the most gorgeous girl in existence

Wow, I am absolutely flabbergasted. I just got off the phone with Catherine after two days of dodged calls and promised call backs that didn’t happen - and she said my 7 year olds appointments have been completely cancelled and she has been removed as a client because we missed calling back a voicemail left a few months ago.

Zero compassion even though my daughter is anxious about dental work and has formed a relationship with the dentist, and we were actually the ones waiting for many months for an hospital appointment with anesthesia, they don’t care about any external circumstances or how the child will feel having to switch providers.

I very much echo the 1 star reviews below if you look through the list. They were very unnecessarily rude and honestly I’m just in shock about this.

Previous to this at our last appointment too which was a tooth extraction for said nervous 7 year old, I talked to the receptionist at length to double check and make sure my daughter would get the medicine the Dentist talked to us about as an option for calming her and making the process easier on her pain etc- then when we showed up to the appointment the Dentist told us that the medicine wasn’t booked in to be given to her and that they couldn’t do it that day as it would require additional appointment time. We had to get the tooth out that day as it was causing her a ton of pain but again it was more difficult on her then it needed to be all because the reception staff either dropped the ball or flat out lied to me about confirming the medication for her.

So while the Dentist himself is amazing with kids, it seems like he really needs better reception and support staff. I will write up our entire experience with this place in more detail when I have more time.

My kids have been going to this dentist for years. We missed one appointment this year (and had missed some many years prior) and without warning, the day of my daughters appointment, they inform me that they wont see her anymore because we missed too many appointments. There was no warning or even contact to let us know beforehand that the appointment had been cancelled. They were also careless and unapologetic in their explanation. This is no way to conduct business. At the very least, they need to communicate this policy with more tact and consider each patient's situation separately instead of applying this policy blindly to everyone. I can see if I missed a ton of appointments on a regular basis but as I said, its been years except for the one from last week.

The receptionists at this location are not friendly. They have a large chip on their shoulder, they have no concept of customer service. It's too bad because the dentist and his assistant are friendly, supportive, and good with children. The negative comments in this forum ring true for me. Seems like they don't treat people equally, NOT RECOMMENDED, to many inconsistencies. Lack of parking, little to nothing to do in the immediate area.

Totally unhappy with customer service, charges for uninsured services, despite requests to be informed *before* service is performed. Unfriendly front desk, very poor schedule communication and lack of consistency of dentists. I’ve had it, switched.

Absolutely absurd service. They have refused to treat my son saying we had two no shows. I know we had one no show we had never had any contact with them regarding any further appointments after the original no show. My wife tried to contact the office regarding the supposed second no show and they wouldn’t even acknowledge her.

Receptionist was extremely rude after we had to re-schedule. My partner had concerns and was hung up on.
