Dr Wambera Office

Navigating this new world of a special needs infant Dr Wambera is my favourite specialist to link up with. She is meticulous in her care for our daughter while ensuring we have all the facts. She allows more than enough time to ask questions and I never feel rushed in her presence.

I'm sure the doctor is adequate, but our family could not get past the unprofessional receptionist.
Our family waited quite a while to finally get into see this neurologist - unfortunately my daughter came down with potential COVID for our scheduled appointment on the Sunday before her Wednesday appointment. We tried calling the office numerous times with no answer and no voicemail option. When I finally heard back from reception, it was on the date of our appointment and 30 minutes past the scheduled time. She then asked if we were coming in. I told her, no, we tried calling and that our child is sick. The phone conversation was incredibly awkward and caused me to believe that the receptionist was actually under the influence or high. She then said that we would need a new referral and to go back on the waitlist because we no-showed our appointment - even though they never answered the line or gave the option to email or leave a voicemail.
My husband then tried speaking to reception in a different call and he also believed that she was high with the complete lack of concentration, communication and just strange language and behavior's/pauses on her end.
We understand that Dr. Offices requite notice for cancelations - but they made it impossible for us to give that and then gave us the run around.
When I called back asking to speak to a supervisor, I was hung up on and then taken off of their intake list as the receptionist claimed to her supervisor (who I never heard from or spoke to) that I was acting abusively towards her.
I'm sure Dr. Wombera is a perfectly capable and good neurologist, but reception failed us.
