John has access to a wide array of parts, and was able to help me out with this HKS Super Silent Exhaust system for my 2000 Nissan Silvia S15. You can see from the photos how the fit and finish of the system works well with my build. John was able to meet me at short notice and was excellent to to work with. Dealt with Nicholas from Rocky Mtn Import via Facebook and he was great! Ended up buying an original radio for an r32 gtr for a fair price. He couldn't guarantee it worked but he did guarantee he'd replace it if I discovered it didn't work upon install. Shipping was quick - with tracking provided - and radio was in great shape, and works. Overall real pleasant experience. Hope to deal with them again in the future!

John at RMI was able to resolve the starting problem with my 1984 Toyota Diesel 4X4, with a suggestion. Following through on the suggestion, I installed a check valve in the inlet fuel line that prevents fuel from flowing back into the tank. Due obviously to the aged nature of my truck, the check valve formally in the fuel filter housing had failed. No mention of this check valve in the service manual. The engine now starts immediately.

The team at Rocky Mountain Imports were able to sort out the issues I had with my Alphard in a timely matter. They were transparent with the cost of repairs and seemed to care that they kept the cost to their customer low. My interactions with the staff were useful and they did their best to explain the issues my vehicle was having in terms I understood.

I am always very weary where I bring my vehicle and who is working on it. Normally that's how I am with anything or anyone I do business with. You can say I have some trust issues. I am very happy to have found the right mechanics and business to get parts from.

I trust them, I know when my vehicle is brought in that I won't be charged unfairly. I know I will only be getting the best advice on what to do when my cars are having issues. Past that, it is always very nice to be welcomed by the owner John, and his kind employees.

Most recently, my 2017 BMW 330ix Touring M Sport went in for a pre-inspection before a long trip i'm making. I also had an EVAP light come up on the dash. Not only did I have a very reasonable list of recommendations, my light is gone with no issues, and my vehicle runs great!

I feel grateful to have found Rocky Mountain Imports and I couldn't recommend them more for not only your JDM needs, but any vehicle. If I could give more then 5 stars I would but you don't need to trust me, go find out for yourself!

After searching for a set of factory fog lights for my Evo for years I finally managed to find some advertised by Rocky Mountain Imports. The lights were very reasonably priced and the whole buying process was a breeze. There was constant communication relating to the condition of the lights and the shipping process to get it to me in Australia. The package arrived quickly and the condition of the lights is outstanding. Rocky Mountain Imports was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future for any other parts I need.

I'll only bring my Japanese cars here,in 2017/2018 they helped me with making sure my 2003 forester sti was good, found a possible issue and solved it for me. Bringing my 2015 evolution gsr in 2023 for some work and really glad to see they're still here and strong. Support these people!

As a repeat customer who rarely leaves reviews I must say Great service providers for your JDM evo needs. I spoke with Nicholas and he went above and beyond with keeping me updated with my orders status and availability of additional items. Overall a highly recommended experience.

I had a real predicament with my 1991 Mitsubishi Delica L300, involving its tricky rear axle. I originally ordered relatively-inexpensive parts for our van online from Rocky Mountain, and then was getting some pro bono consultation from their staff regarding how to access the axle seal.

A local automotive shop here in California ended up accidentally breaking it, so suddenly I was in the market for an entire assembly. I called around looking for a fix, and this took almost two months, but eventually I was able to arrange the purchase of an assembly from John & Kyle there — which they agreed to have rebuilt for me! — and shipped here directly to my local mechanics. It ended up being half the price of another option I’d located (for a salvaged part that wasn’t rebuilt either).

I greatly appreciate their team’s patience with me and their receptiveness to our household’s needs. It’s not easy to be in this sort of pinch and having to deal with it so remotely, but it’s clear RMI is strongly geared towards supporting specialty JDM vehicles throughout this continent, providing outstanding customer service and fair prices.

When the first shop that I went to (the other guys) seemed to want to take advantage of me with gouging prices on parts and labor, I decided to shop around for an alternative, and I'm glad I did. Rocky Mountain Imports offered solutions to get my Japanese imported vehicle ready for out of province inspection at a fraction of the cost. They took the time to show me exactly what needed to be fixed, and sourced the parts that I needed quickly, and at a great price too! They even went above and beyond, booking an alignment for me and letting me keep my car on their lot for a few days while I waited for the appointment. In the end they saved me from the $6500 bill that the other guys wanted to charge me. They completed all the repairs and modifications required to pass the OPI, and they were even able to do an oil change and front brake pads and rotors on top of that, for less than half what I was quoted at the other shop. Thanks guys! I won't take my car anywhere else now that I have discovered the best import shop on the West Coast!
