Butchart Gardens Coffee Shop

An essential after a couple of hours walking round the gardens. There is also a restaurant, but I was surprised not to see a greater variety of pastries and other things to go with coffee.. our group of four surveyed the choices and everyone chose a scone, by way of example. That said, the scone was good and came with jam (no clotted cream, was a fail) and butter..

Butcher Gardens is one of the most stunning 4 season floral displays anywhere. Especially colorful and diverse during summer it features a beautiful variety of blooms throughout the year. An absolute must see when visiting Victoria or Vancouver Island.

Casual place to pick up drinks, snacks, lunch or dessert. Indoor seating, restrooms, outdoor seating, etc.

Order at the counter and pick up order. Choose where you want to sit.

Sunny, large spot to regroup at Butchart Gardens. No photos of coffee shop, but actually a charming setting. More cafe than cafeteria.

No reservations required and very short lines (even on a busy day) with multiple stations for ordering.

Coffee was average, employees were friendly. The gardens are beautiful!

A very cozy place to have some tea or pastries after finishing your tour of the gardens. Everything was pretty basic. The staff were so friendly and the service was very fast.

I came in to only get a pastry, but ended up buying the Turkey Sandwich. I usually upload a picture but I was super hungry. The Sandwich was surprisingly delicious and filling. But the majority of the folks writing positive reviews for this coffee shop are accurate.

For $10 CAD it was reasonable. I can't complain as everything was fresh and the parker roll was so soft and delicious. I'm glad they make this in-house and locally source ingredients. It was well worth the money spent.

Charming spot with incredibly friendly and informative staff. Inside is warm and well lit with beautiful art on the walls, snacks and delicious coffee, a really nice stop before walking the gardens.

It is a great coffee shop with a wide range of drinks. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous.

So many different locations, nooks and crannies! With so many different plants, flowers and brushes😊... Every direction is a photo op👍

Love the coffee shop at Butchart Gardens. The staff are always amazing and welcoming. Very efficient with their service as well. They have a good variety of treats as well as sandwiches, soup, light bites, etc. The scones are really nice, especially heated with butter and jam. The coffee room is bright and airy in summer and cosy and warm in the winter. They have a lovely fireplace and lots of beautiful decor. I have been here many times and it is always immaculately clean. Never had anything less than a wonderful experience.

Enjoyed a nice coffee and pastry to start and another when we finished our tour.
The gift shop had lots to offer and the parking was plentiful.

Best garden we have ever seen!

Wow! Compare this to any US National Park Cafe, and you won't go back to the USA. So clean, kind, and personable. Excellent coffees and snacks not produced to a price point.

Had a great peppermint hot chocolate. Just the right amount of peppermint, not overwhelming the chocolate .

Great beverage selection, clean and well organized, and the staff was great.

Good! We were first ones in. Had the ham sandwich. Very yummy. Also has complimentary water so it's a good hideout from the heat.

Stunning flower beds. Lovely walks. Fountains. Food and gift shop items good but on the expensive side. Best bet is Annual pass if you go more than once.

Had an amazing soup "chicken vegetable egg lemon". I didn't know what to expect but it was very good. You can eat inside and they have good Covid19 distancing and table cleaning in place.

A very nice place to stop and eat and/or drink while you are at the gardens.
If you don't want to eat at the restaurant, or just want a quick bite, a good place to stop.
Across from the gift shop, so a way to refresh before or after power shopping.

The Currant Scones are absolutely amazing. The Cheese Biscuit is good and has a hint of chili.
