Lokal was recommeded to us for their fried chicken dinner. When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant & didn't take that as a good sign but we stayed anyways. It turned out to quite nice as it was good to visit with each other. Most of our party ordered the fried chicken dinner, burger with a salad, & stir fry. The chicken dinners were hearty with 3 or more pieces, it had a crispy well seasoned coating, & juicy on the inside. The burger cooked to perfection, the salad was fresh with the tastiest house dressing(you have to order it!) & the stir fry was prepared with fresh vegetables & a spicy sauce. Our server was friendly & knew her menu when we had questions. We were happy to see more patrons arriving throughout the evening & we will certainly recommend Lokal to our friends.

Took a bit of time to get our pickup order but I’m telling you the wait was COMPLETELY worth it. I’ve never eaten better chicken in my entire life. The chicken is juicy, the coating is light and crispy it’s not greasy. So good. I will definitely be ordering from this place again.

I've been going there since they opened the Red Deer location. Very good fried chicken and other interesting dishes. Breakfasts are very good too. The Sylvan Lake location is quite busy and I'm not sure why Red Deer location isn't as busy but the same good food.

My partner and I were pleasently surprised by the quality of experience at this restaurant. Quality and friendly service is offered. The atmosphere is decent. The food quality is high. There is flavour and taste. There is also some diversity in the meal options. We had the Saturday/Sunday meal special for two and we enjoyed it. We finished the meal with blue berry pie which was ridiculously good. Totally unexpected. The server informed us that the pastry chef is Italian and it honestly shows. The prices are reasonabe. Give this restaurant a try, it is worth it.

The great food and service at the Sylvan Lake Lokal Kitchen prompted me drop into the Lokal Kitchen in Red Deer this week on my way to Calgary from Edmonton. As expected, the whole experience was wonderful. The decor is comforting and inviting, the service is excellent, and the food is superb. I lived in Seoul for 20 years, but don't recall ever eating bulgogi rice that tasted this good. And the fried chicken I took with me to Calgary... So tender and tasty, and with such amazing sauces!!

I ordered take out from Lokal Kitchen in Red Deer and I noticed they forgot my rice dish when I got home. I called the restaurant and talked to my waitress and she made it right by delivering the forgotten dish to me. By the way they don't do delivery here so some one came in their personal vehicle to correct the mistake. What great service! Oh and the food was amazing!

Super food breakfast and the service was great! We went as a group of 8 and had just about everything on the breakfast menu. The steak and eggs and the eggs bennidict with ham were the best. We were seated immediately. The restaraunt is located in the hotel and has great seating with many tvs.

Came here on my way through Red Deer and it was well worth it. Its attached to a hotel but dont let that stop you from coming here. The Korean food was amazing and very well plated. Good prices and portion sizes in my opinion. Very Great Meal.

Best restaurant I've eaten at in Red Deer! Service is quick, and tasty food at an unbelievably reasonable price. Definitely recommend. Bring your friends too! A shame that for Tuesday and Wednesday this week the place is virtually empty.

Very affordable food. Very very good food. I was skeptical to try it at first but I will be a repeat customer. Waitress was very friendly and talkative and made for a great experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Crispy chicken, and has a very appealing interior. Food is make with alot of care that you can taste. They have in house made sauces which is awesome. Will definitely be back!

Service is awesome and the food is so good! Fish and chips & chicken prepared fresh, pasta dishes are great! Definitely worth checking out.

The food here is amazing and there is so much selection! To top it off the service and prices are great. Best steak sandwich in Red Deer. Love the poutine and pastas as well!

OMG were do I start? Their fried chicken is out of this world, the pasta us to die for, the bulgogi pizza is awesome and the bbq us great. If you are ordering the nachos make sure to share with a friend or order as a meal (they are huge). I have eaten at both locations in Sylvan Lake and Red Deer and the quality is the same at both.

Extremely tasting crispy chicken dinner ! Probably best I've ever had. Currently they're offering 10% off pick up and delivery. Go help out a small business !

If you like big portions that taste amazing, at VERY reasonable prices, this is the place to go. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and very clean with delicious food.

Food is affordable, filling and the menu has a wide variety. They go from pasta and risottos to Fried chicken and Burgers. Took 13.47 min to bring out food for two.
