I had an extremely disappointing experience, one that ranks among the poorest service I've encountered - Creston's Tim Hortons included. Upon moving to Creston, I reached out to Sara to arrange some property viewings. The moment I mentioned my interest, she seemed to become frustrated and her tone altered noticeably. When she questioned me about my real estate agent, I informed her that I was unrepresented, as I was new to the area. This seemed to perplex her, and she commented on how unusual it was, which left me both bewildered and annoyed.

Attempting to steer the conversation in a more productive direction, I highlighted a few of her listings that I was keen to explore. Her response was to dismiss or belittle these properties, deeming them as bad or subpar choices. This struck me as odd. Why would a realtor discourage potential interest in her own listings? The whole conversation left me feeling belittled and of little importance, which was particularly discouraging as a newcomer to the town.

The interaction ended with Sara promising to call me in a few days to arrange viewings, a promise which she did not keep. Not that I was keen to continue our interaction, but it further solidified the negative impression I had of her. When a prospective buyer expresses interest in your listings, it should be seen as an opportunity, not an inconvenience. The entire purpose is to showcase the properties listed.

Now, whenever I see her advertisements around town, I can't help but feel a sense of sympathy for those who entrust her with their listings. We all have off days, but as a fellow salesperson, I understand the importance of professionalism, even when it's challenging. Turning away a potential buyer for your client's homes is simply not acceptable.
