Creston Valley Insurance

We recently moved to Creston from Alberta and found the experience at Creston Valley Insurance top notch. We dealt with Susan Lohrer for arranging our home insurance and she was incredibility helpful. We asked her so many questions and she was patient and always found the answers for us!
When it came to changing our Drivers Licenses and vehicle insurance to BC, Wendy, Martin and Mona were the best. They were friendly, super helpful and explained everything we asked. They helped us with the forms (and there was a lot of them) The staff in this office is incredible! They go above and beyond with customers and we commend them dealing with other not so friendly customers. Thanks for your kindness and consideration while moving provinces! You made the transition so much easier for us both.

Wow! We are from another smaller town and usually hate visiting the insurance office but we were treated amazing here! Very fast and professional, we wished we lived closer!

Great people super nice always go here

This shop is used to the small town ethos and it shows... Unfortunately in not-so-positive ways.

First, there seems to always be a problem working with ICBC licensing at this outlet. There is no end of problems getting the simplest administrative licensing tasks done here. I was without photo ID for two months because CVI failed to correctly take my photo.

Second, and more concerning is the pervasive attitude that this insurance broker seems to foster. I watched first hand as staff openly mocked an older gentleman as soon as he was out the door and in front of other patrons. He had come in complaining of some hardships in his life and, while it might be boring or repetetive to hear, there is absolutely no excuse for talking behind someone's back (right in public!) the way they did. Shameful.

I have also watched the staff belittle a young man trying to work out the administration of his learner's license.

Creston Valley Insurance seems to be the only ICBC game in Creston, which is likely why they feel they can treat folks in such an appalling way.

I was eventually able to get my licensing stuff done by CVI, but you should really consider going to Nelson or Cranbrook rather than here if you can help it and if you value competent service.

Bad customer service

If I could I would give negative stars. Horrible service. The manager refused to make our bike insurance with small paper because they were too busy, and the insurance lady didn’t answer any of our questions. Went to western financial after and they fixed everything. Will not be going back.

Manager was extremely condescending to myself and 2 other customers while I was there. Staff were polite but obviously intimidated by her.

Not very nice people, do not want to help you out. Terrible service.
