Donkersley Beach

Beautiful Sandy beach when the tide is out. Lots of sand dollars if you walk the whole thing. We went this Thursday July 20 at 3pm and there was a lot of sand. Beautiful place to swim. Kids loved playing here. We only spent a couple hours but could easily spend the whole day at this beach. No restrooms or picnic tables. Limited parking along the side of the road.

It's yet another beautiful beach on the sunshine coast BC small sections of rocks to get through then the bottom turns to sand. Water is warm and clear when the tide is coming in. Cold and refreshing by the time it's headed back out

It's quite rocky when the tide is in, but when it's out it's a beautiful sandy oasis. I highly recommend checking the tide and planning accordingly. I think this was around 3-3.5 ft.

Absolutely stunning here and if you venture into the water (which is shallow for quite a ways out!), you'll have to watch your step - there are sand dollars EVERYWHERE! Excellent spot for swimming, relaxing, building sand castles, enjoying the scenery, collecting shells, and finding little critters. Great family spot or to go alone. It's open to the public, but I do recommend getting there early if you can. There's no parking lot so you'll be parking on the side of the dead end road. There's plenty of space, but the farther back you are the longer you'll have to walk!

Check the tides before visiting. Low tide is the best time of the day. Beach stretches out for miles. Great day anytime of year.

Came during a very cold, windy but sunny April day. Beautiful vast beach with white sand! Can’t wait to return once the weather gets warmer!

The sand is nice and sparkly. Lovely beach to spend the afternoon at. Parking is on the side of the road.

Make sure to check the tidal charts. When tide is out it is a large sandy beach and the water is only a few feet deep for a long way out. When tide is in there isn’t any sandy areas.

We went in thinking it was a sandy beach as multiple locals had mentioned. But by evening it was high tide and sand was not at all visible. Disappointed we left that evening but decided to check it out next morning and we were not disappointed. The locals were right, it is definitely sandy and clean.

A very beautiful low tide hide away beach.

Donkersley is such a nice beach, if you get there at the right time the tide is so far out and amazing to swim in with a snorkel set. It's also a great place to make sand sculptures at.

Donkersly Beach is always a magical slice of paradise.

Beautiful gem of a beach during low tide a sandbar appears and its great for kids to play on. Watch out though... tide comes in surprisingly fast
