Mr Lin Family Restaurant

What a great small town Chinese experience, I really enjoyed my dinner here. I was in town for work and decided to stop by the local Chinese restaurant for dinner. The waitress – owner was really friendly and served me very quickly. I ordered a small wonton soup, one Singapore noodle and one General Tao chicken. The soup came out piping hot and the broth was quite nice, the Singapore noodles I felt might have been toned down to better match the local pallette as I found the curry to be a bit mild for my taste, nonetheless it wasn’t bad, as for what I would say was the star for the evening, the general Tao chicken was really nice, the chicken was tender and paired quite nicely with the slight heat and sweetness from the dish. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area stop here for lunch or dinner you definitely won't be disappointed.

What a pleasant surprise on our way travelling through Provost Alberta! Mr Lin is most definitely a “family” restaurant. A Tuesday evening at 6pm and there were only a few tables left. Looked like many locals enjoy the food here. We were greeted by our lovely hostess “Paris” who presented the menus to us and offered to bring us a beverage. Very polite, friendly and efficient service from Miss Paris. Our orders were taken (we assume by Paris’ mom), the food arrived in a timely manner and it was all delicious!
We enjoyed a starter of deep fried wontons and then a combination plate. The portions were flavourful and generous.
At the end of our meal, Paris came by to offer us our fortune cookies.
The experience reminded me of the Asian restaurant in my home town and enjoyed dining at many times during my youth. I’m so glad we found this gem in Provost. It’s off the highway, but well worth the trip through downtown.
Thank you to Paris and your family for the lovelt service and meal. We will be back again!

Love Mr. LIN's. Best place in Provost, excellent and fresh ingredients. Has other options besides Chinese food if you have kids who are picky eaters. Excellent service as well. Nothing fancy, just good food at reasonable price.

Great customer service from start to finish! Both the server and cook were friendly and easy going. Food was fresh and delicious. Love that you're able to get combo platters for one!

Stopped travelling through Provost. Had the buffet. It had lots of options, even offered ice cream.

The most wonderful ginger beef I have ever had. The special fried noodle was phenomenal! Had to take a ginger beef to go too as we are from out of town.

The food was so delicious! I ordered a ginger beef with mixed veggies, and rice, and when it came out it looked like every other ginger beef dish I have ever had. The taste though was so much better! There was lots if ginger in the ginger beef, and tons of garlic in the mixed veggies. Such a wonderful stop!

Great Price, Great Food, and very quick. For a small town, this is Great Chinese food! - I'll be sure to stop here everytime I'm in Provost.

Our family of 4 were visiting Provost and we were hungry! The portions were very impressive. The quality of the meat dishes and vegetables were top notch. Obviously they take some pride in their establishment. Fast service, and family owned and operated.

Very fast, generous portions, and tasty food. Well priced and good value for money. Went here both nights I was in town. Very friendly service would highly recommend this place to anyone. Will gladly eat here anytime I'm in the area. Thanks.

This place is a hidden gem. Travelling from Calgary and stopped for food. They just changed owners recently and the food was delicious. The Singapore noodles and Kung Pow chicken were on point. Loved the ginger beef and I am super picky about ginger beef. It was crunchy and perfectly flavor balanced between ginger and sweet. Amazing. This will be my new go to spot when passing through.

Small place but the food is absolutely amazing and the owners are extremely friendly. Every time I am in provost ( I live 4 hours away), I always eat at least one night at this place. Just moved to Alberta from the east coast two years ago and this place has by far the best Chinese food I have eaten in Alberta so far. Big portions and great prices as well

The service was very good.
We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, cantonese chow mein, and black bean chicken. Two is the dishes included rice as well. The dishes arrived in consecutive order and very quickly.
They were all delicious, and we took home 3 medium containers of leftovers.
The cost was pretty much the same as other Chinese restaurants in the area.
We'll be going back for sure.

Very good food, run by a small family. The atmosphere was quiet which j enjoyed and the decor was tasteful. The prices were great and the quantity was even better. Even the service was something above and beyond.
I don't understand why this place isn't more popular.

Amazing food! The waitress was super nice! Food came out really fast and tasted amazing! Best chinese food i have had in a very long time! Would definately recommend it!! Its down on the main drag of Provost Alberta! Cant say enough good things about it! Decently priced as well!
