A narrow and super long cemetery, which is beautifully arranged, clean and well organized. Two roads lead through it and it has several nice corners. It’s a nice place for quiet walks. I came across two racoons. You can find there some war memorials and mausoleum too.

A lovely place to have a walk. Enjoy the changing colour of the leaves 🍁🍃🍂 and learn some history too.

Particularly poignant was the memorial to fallen soldiers. The neighbourhood of Earlscourt sent 2,500 young working class British men to war, but over 320 never returned, making this the most impacted neighborhood in Canada on a per capita basis. 🇨🇦 Read about more history on the plaques that provide context on the many wars Canadians served in.

The mausoleums were also of particular interest.

I went here to try to locate the gravesite of my Great grandparents, and was very impressed by the condition of the grounds and the helpful staff. I dropped into the office and was given maps and great instructions on locating the marker and with the help of a friendly groundkeeper I was able to find the marker. This is also a pleasant place just for a nice walk.

I visited here on the 4th of October. I cannot praise the staff enough for assisting me to find the grave sites of my relatives. I had contacted the cemetery previously by email and received plot numbers and maps. When I arrived at the office I was warmly welcomed and given more information to enable me to find what I was looking for. When I was out in the cemetery and a little bit lost I was able to ring the office and receive friendly and helpful information from a very patient staff member. I would like to pass on my thanks to all concerned. I hope that you may be able to solve the puzzle of the memorial stone

Today we went to visit a family gravesite from the 1960's. We stopped by the office to get the plot number and Alanna was extremely helpful and kind. When we arrived at the plot, the stones were sunken and covered. Alanna put a work order in and promised to send me a photo (we live out of town) when the stones were fixed. Top notch client care. Thank you!

For a cemetery, Prospect Cemetery is as good as it gets! Along St. Clair, there are large, abstract stones with poems carved in them. Inside the gate is a full-size group of statues illustrating the Last Supper. This Last Supper is beautiful, powerful, memorable, and very surprisingly gave me great calm when I saw it on a challenging day. This cemetery is significant to the St. Clair Avenue West Italian commu nity, and this is evidenced by the tasteful, elegant modern architecture; you might feel like you're in Tuscany. The grounds are well-kept and the smooth asphalt path north to Rogers Road, then Kitchener Avenue ending at Eglinton is a great place for a bike ride.

TLDR: Well maintained property and a great quiet walk/bike ride.

As I was becoming familiar with the area I came across the chance to walk through the Prospect Cemetery in the middle of summer and was delighted to have such a quiet, well maintained spot right in the middle of a bunch of hustle and bustle.

I frequently use their roads to walk to Earlscourt Park and up to Eglington Ave. Keep up the great work!

Please do be advised you walk/bike on a road shared with vehicles moving through the cometary and there are no sidewalks unless you are visiting the buildings at the southern front of the property.

I love your cemetery .. many of my relatives are buried here. It’s beautiful…. The only event I had that was unpleasant is while visiting my deceased family members.. I got spooked by an old man in very nice dress clothes asking if I saw a headstone “Margret smith” I said do you know which location she is in… as I went to pull the map up on my phone … I’m adjusting the lighting as it was a bright day… I look up and he was gone. I went to see where he went but he wasn’t anywhere … I couldn’t figure out how someone could move so fast.

Maybe he was a real person looking for help or maybe he was a ghost. Either way I called ghostbusters

Just to let you know that my mother and myself came to Prospect Cenmetry on Oct 8 looking for my grandmother and grandfathers grave. The people were so helpful giving us the site and grave numbers. When we arrived at the site the grave numbers were mostly covered up with grass and dirt. I was having a very hard time trying to find the grave. A gardner named Joe came and helped me look. He had about 5 coworkers that were very helpful . We finally found the grave and I tried to give Joe a tip for spending so much of his time helping me but he would not take it and he was just glad we found the graves. I want to say thank you so much to Joe and his coworkers.

Dear Gaetano, Tyrell, Mary, Val and all the other Prospect Cemetery staff:
We were very happy with the work you did for our father.
We thank you for your capable assistance to us, the family of the late Edward Silva.
We felt that you went the extra mile in guiding us through the process of choosing a burial plot and appreciate that you avoided rushing us. Working with more than one of you, we felt that the process was seamless; everyone knew what we were working towards, and had the information required to get the job done properly.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Nathaniel, Adam and Anna

A vast group of soldiers lay in rest. They served our country well. They will never be forgotten! Remembrance day is every day! Rest well good soldiers.

Upon arrival at Prospect cemetery we were kindly greeted and guided by both Toto and Arnaldo. Upon seeing the condition of a relatives grave site we went to Toto for asaistance. Toto, Arnaldo, and Chris went above and beyond in cleaning and pruning the grave site. They were kind, quick and courteous in their work and their happy disposition made the experience very pleasent. We were very greatful for their help. On behalf of the Geraimchuk we extend our Sincere thanks.
