Art of Eating Deli Coffee Shop

We happened upon The Art of Eating cafe. What a find! I had haddock fish cakes with melt in your mouth brown beans, salad and home made brown bread. My spouse had Montreal smoked meat sandwich and salad. We returned later to do some work upstairs and had coffee and dessert. Staff are very friendly. We certainly will go back, and totally recommend.

The food is fresh & tasty and very enjoyable. Had quiche and the house salad, both were SO good. The peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are TO DIE FOR, perhaps the best I have ever had. (I regret not buying more, lol.) The owner was lovely and kind, she even made fresh Nova Scotia oat cakes that I had been looking for to try. (These were very good too as expected - thank you again!!) But if you want her goodies best be ordering ahead, then you wont be disappointed :). It's worth the drive no matter where you're travelling to or from, its close to both Moncton and PEI. If I could give 10 stars I would, highly recommended!

Such a nice place with the friendliest people, great food, very attentive and welcoming. Great music, inspiring decorations! A little gem! And was just off the highway on our way to PEI. Highly recommend stopping here! Thanks!

This place is incredible, should have reviewed it sooner as I have been getting lunch and treats once or twice a week all summer. The food is well priced and the portions are a good size. The Mint OMG brownies are a must try, if I haven't cleaned them out already

Today was my first time trying this establishment and it was top shelf! Food was amazing and fresh and the staff was friendly and engaging. Thinking I’ve found a new favourite lunch spot in town!

Great food, service and atmosphere. My favorite breakfast place in Amherst. Wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch, or just sip on a tea/coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.

I would normally wander over to the downtown Timmy’s while visiting relatives in Amherst. Now that it’s closed I ventured further down Victoria Street and found the Art of Eating. The coffee and food is better and I enjoyed sitting at the table outside the cafe looking at Amherst architecture.

If you are near Amherst stop at this shop! If it wasn't for Google maps abns reviews we would have missed this one. So glad we didn't..such a whimsical place. Our 40th anniversary breakfast, day 9 of traveling. How do you made it special? She sure did..my husband has the smoked salmon cresm cheese quiche. Wowee! He said best ever!! Nice greens accompanied the quiche. I had bacon and egg sandwich so good...we got vegan chocolate cake to have for dessert abd awesone coffee too!

Love this place. Just stopping in town for lunch and then coffee was great and I had a ham and Swiss sandwich with cranberry mayo that I can't stop thinking about. It had to right too be that good. They had gluten free bread for my girlfriend which was a big plus. Stopping there felt like a lucky find.

The layout of the place feels a little awkward at times. It maybe just because the place is a bit smaller.

We Were drawn in while strolling around Amherst downtown. Best meal I've had since leaving the west coast on this road trip. Fresh, healthy and absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly, and they treated our dog to a biscuit. Definitely will come back if in the area again.

Absolutely delightful cafe with a wonderful owner. Fran was kind, her food is delicious, and she offers such a good variety. I had a breakfast sandwich, a great latte (best I've had since I can remember), and some baked goods. I definitely recommend hopping off the highway and coming into town to enjoy this cafe and all that it has to offer. Thanks again, I'll be back when ever I'm in town!

We had the soup.of the day (chowder) wraps and smoothies. The service was amazing and this place is totally worth a visit. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. Stop if your in Amherst!

You can't go wrong with Art of Eating! The food is fresh and delicious. The service is perfect - every time. The atmosphere is wonderful. A safe and inclusive place for all. I'd highly recommend Art of Eating. The owner Fran is an absolute dream also.

We stumbled upon this place as we looked to make a food stop on the way into Nova Scotia. Wow, were we impressed! Seafood chowder was loaded with seafood. Caesar wrap was exactly what we wanted: a fresh Caesar salad on a wrap. The steak breakfast sandwich was so good, we ordered another to take with us. Decor was nice as well.. I wish I had a place like this back home!

Tried their Vegan Sloppy Joes and Sandwich along with a flat white. The quantity was perfect and the food delicious! They have a good variety of vegan and gluten free desserts as well.
