I recently ordered a birthday cake from Bakery section and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The cake was not only beautifully decorated but also incredibly delicious.

Urban Gate is honestly amazing. They have premade Ghormeh Sabzi and Ash and other delicious foods aswell as all kinds of marinated chicken flavors and fresh meat and burgers. And all of them are HALAL which is awesome! They recently opened their cafe and restaurant and it has such good vibes.👏👌✨

Nothing short of amazing! My Husband and I decided to order the beef urban gate burger and we both agree that it’s been the best burger we have had in an extremely long time!

Our whole experience at Urban gate has been amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful, it is so clean and the burger and chips were so fresh and well seasoned, and it was very affordable compared to other places. We will definitely be returning. This was a custom cake that I ordered and was made by Shahla in Bakery. She did an amazing job! The cake had a banana and walnut filling which tasted delicious. It was reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend for others to try!

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional and delicious pastries provided by your store. The sweet treats were not only delightful but also exceeded my expectations in taste and quality.

This is a really great place to get your Persian culinary essentials, and various other hard-to-find ingredients. In particular, they have loads of dried herbs at excellent prices, including dried mint, which is very difficult to find, outside of Indian and middle eastern markets. (No mahaleb, here, though, unfortunately.) You can stock your entire ۷ س (haft seen), at this place, too. Additionally, their produce section is small but very well-organized and well-stocked (and clean), and they have a very good bakery, as well as a fairly good variety of packaged foods). As a bonus, there's a fish tank to keep your kid entertained, while you shop.

I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional customer service from Susan and Shahla at Urban Gate Bakery. Their dedication to delivering outstanding results is truly commendable. The level of service provided was amazing, making my experience with them absolutely unforgettable. These ladies went above and beyond to save my day and the cakes were both delicious and a work of art. I highly recommend them

I love everything about this shop. Everybody is super friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. I tried chicken burger the other day and it was so tasty. It's was so fresh and also the sauce was out of this world. Thank you so much guys.

Had an awesome time at Urban Gate. Came around with the family and as Persians ourselves, we've always love to go out and try whatever Persian restaurants we hear about. I'd say it's been a while since we've had this great of an experience. The service was so friendly and they went out of their way to make sure our dinner went smoothly. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were pretty big (I could feel myself about to explode by the end of it.) It cost a pretty penny but it was 100% worth it and I'd definitely come again. Also, don't be weary about bringing your kids because they do have a kids menu and this is more of a restaurant than a bar, I'd say.

What a delightful find in the center of Coquitlam. A family run grocery store and cafe with a butcher preparing Halal meats. We bought the most fresh pastries and ate them with a delicious cup of coffee in the cafe. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We will be back soon.

By far the cleanest and nicest Persian store in metro Vancouver area. They are professional, very well stocked, and have bakery, meat shop, fruits, assorted bread, and deli departments. They used to have a restaurant that they let go of after renovations, and I think this was welcome. They still do takeouts but I don’t have experience with that. Kudos to the owner and staff. Urban Gate can easily be voted as the best neighborhood grocery/convenience store in metro Vancouver!

Food and service was great! We ordered catering for a staff party and everything was prepared on time and tasted fantastic. Definitely recommend coming here for Persian catering. Staff were super friendly too.

I wanted muffins with Yazdi cake taste for my daughter Bday to take to school.
Even though the store was not open at 8 am for customers, but the bakery team came early and made fresh muffins for me.
So beautiful, yummy and fresh.
I planned to get them the night before, but they were so friendly and kind and offered me the best option to have fresh muffins with cream. 🙏🎂🎂

Yesterday I order some Chello Kabab and Jojeh Kabab for my son’s birthday party. I was very pleased with the customer service, I truly thought that they appreciated my business very polite and respectful, which I thought why not other restaurants do the same. Now going back to food. Both Kabab’s , were so delicious , very high quality , yammy and fresh. I highly recommend this great restaurant.

I love Urban Gate and the atmosphere, it’s pretty neat and organized. Well managed and great costumer care ,I always had a great experience. Thanks for making the service exceptional.

The food here is amazing and consistent. I order the chicken kabob (jujeh) with rice and salad and it's made perfectly each time. The house made creamy salad dressing is the best I've ever had. Ask for a side of the yogurt to dip your skewer meat in, it is delicious. We always have great service here and they have a great outside patio. There is also a Persian store next to the restuarant which makes excellent Persian desserts. Get a few for the road!
