Earlier in the summer,we spent a couple of days out at this resort campsite. We really enjoyed the experience. The pool was fantastic as were all the other amenities available. Having little camping experience with our new trailer, we found ourselves running to the store/ registration office. We were pleasantly greeted by an employee (Sheri) whom took us "under her wing" and helped us with any questions concerns and or "set up" help we needed. Thing is, she was delightful, incitful, and well one of the reasons we decided to actually rent a site and stay long term! Who would have thought? Sheri , as this summer wraps up and the campground prepares to close, we simply say Thank-you for your hospitality! Your kindness and sunny dispositions made for some wonderful weekends! We are looking forward to seeing you and the rest of our new friends next May!

We are seasonal campers, and it was our first year there in 2023. We started out in a regular camping site with our 5th wheel as our site we chose was not scheduled to open for 2 weeks to a month. After we got settled into a site, we were happy with started personalizing it. Our dogs love going there every weekend, as do we. We spent every weekend and a whole week (with grand kids) and made some amazing friends ( who have become family. We are counting the day till May 1st. The special weekends (Christmas in July, summer halloween, and the pork-a-palooza)were awesome, and we had such a great time as im sure did the kids. Off leash is great and secure. Showers are ok (if needed) but always clean. Extra activities and beach and very nice (mini golf needs mild upkeep). My grandkids won't stop talking about coming back next year, and honestly, I am looking forward to another week with them ( longer if mom and dad will allow it). Staff is amazing and very helpful and qui k torespo d to inguiies. All in all, I was very happy to call it our summer home.

A nice place for family camping. There are plenty of activities for kids. Private heated swimming pool. They had a food truck that Saturday. So, I'm not sure if they have it every weekend. First time but we enjoyed it. Washrooms and showers were just nearby and clean. Half an hour away from Edmonton, why not? A quick getaway for a weekend.

My friend and I spent the day at the day access beach with our 4 year olds and had a great time paddle boarding and playing in the sand, water and at the park. The portable toilets were clean and there was a shower to rinse off after our water adventures.

Like most if not all lakes in Alberta there are leeches so just be aware of that especially with your kiddos. We didn’t get any on us but I did have three on the bottom of my board. Use a thin object like a credit card, Swiss army blade or even finger nail to remove them or if they’re on you let them fall off naturally.

This beach will definitely be on regular rotation for us this summer!

I had no idea that Half Moon Lake was so close to travel too!

It's a great site for camping, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and spending time laughing with people you love!

Highly recommend!

Went for 3 nights, normally we stay in the parks so were a little skeptical on a private campground/resort but when we arrived and were all set up we discovered how much there is to do here. Lake, jumping pillow, mini golf, basketball courts, volleyball, pickle ball and more. The people are absolutely fantastic and helpful with anything and everything you need. The resort manager was always smiling, joking and great to speak with, even gave us a tour of the grounds. The grounds are well maintained, the beach is cleaned daily and you can see the pride in the rresort. Even the other campers were friendly and told us stories of their years there. Definitely surpassed our expectations and will be going back again. Definitely recommend for families

This is a lovely place to stay. The staff is 10 star friendly and helpful. Super clean bathrooms with free hot showers. So many fun things to do pickle ball basketball beach volleyball horseshoes mini golf nice beach and a cute little play park. The tenting sites are really nicely laid out . I will not comment on the water as the resort owners and staff do not have any control on leaches and algea if they did I am certain they would do something about as you can tell they really care about the guest experience. Keep up the great work Half Moon Lake Resort. We will be back.

This is a fantastic place to spend summer with your kids. Brad is awesome and such a hard worker, do not envy his job. Audrey is such a delight, also do not envy her job or anyone of the staff that tends to certain areas (people can be so disgusting) Audrey still wears a smile everyday and just brings such a great vibe to the place. Jessie and really all the staff are amazing. With 5 kids all so different in their ways, what can I say we can be a lot to handle so I truly appreciate each and everyone that runs the place. They are very attentive and keep things in check from the bathrooms to the grounds.

Side note: A few of the seasonals with their golf carts and their prying intrusive ways is annoying. Along with some of the seasonal children who can be maybe a bit territorial to the point of bullying, one could do without and is not tolerated by the staff. It definitely is not a reflection on the the staff who do their best to make it an enjoyable stay for everyone. Which is why they still get 5 stars.

The staff were awesome. Very friendly and informative. I stayed only one night with my 5 year old in a tent and she had a blast. New manager's have recently acquired this place and are doing all they can to add even more fun to what already exists. Most recently they added a huge jumping pillow, there is mini golf, swimming ( some leaches so be ware ), and a playground at the beach. I read online that people complained about swimmers itch the same time we were there but we rinsed off after in the showers and had no issues at all. For being so close to the city this place is an awesome option.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and I have to say what a great experience it was! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom/showers appeared to be well kept and clean, and the park itself was very nice.
Close enough to Edmonton to do some shopping, but far enough there wasn't any highway noise.

A great RV campgrounds close to Edmonton. Plenty of sites from no hook-ups for tents through to full hook-ups for RVs. Lot's of mature trees giving shady areas on the warm days. A beach, min-golf, showers and washrooms. Site staff were friendly and helpful. One of the nicer RV parks we've stayed at. Will definitely return next time we are visiting the Edmonton area.

UPDATE: Back in the Edmonton area for a visit and stayed again at this RV park. Some nice improvements to what was already a good location. A swimming pool has been added, along with the addition of more camping sites. Work continues to add new amenities that will further improve the resort. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the Edmonton/Strathcona County area.

Daily rates to use the beach. The sand beach was well kept and clean. Plenty of space for families. Facilities were well kept and clean. Staff was friendly and beyond helpful. Definitely can’t wait to go back! Would like to see more up keep on the mini golf course. But free to play with a deposit on the club. So can’t complain.

Love it here!! Love seeing the daily improvements, and upkeep from the new owners and management. Maintenance staff are great and friendly, courteous and quick! Especially when ordering Gator loads of wood!! Our seasonal lot is huge! Bathrooms are beautiful for a campground. We find they are clean 9/10, and only dirty after crowds of children are messing around in them.

Stayed here for 10 days with a big group including 4 kids 6 and under. We rented 3 sites including the 30 foot trailer they have available for rent. So much to do for kids here. Even on the cloudy rainy days, there was quite a few options for long walks. Definitely a family friendly campground, couldn't recommend it enough to those with children. The staff were really nice and helpful.

Beautiful campgrounds lots of activities for kids nice pools. Some site need upgrade because after rain they turn to mud a little bit of gravel and grading would do the trick.

When we first arrived at Half Moon Lake we were surprised to find out our site was not located where we thought. The owner and staff were wonderful in getting it sorted out and making sure my family was happy and comfortable and it was very much appreciated!

Upon that the set up of the campgrounds is nice. Lots of trees, very clean and well maintained. Staff is always working on landscaping and making sure everything is running properly and looking nice. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and we all had an awesome time! Will definitely be back! Thank you so much from your fav campers (L05 & L06) ;)

So nice to get out of town. We came out during three days of +35°C heat.
The lake was nice and well kept. We.booked last minute and managed to get one of the very last sites available which were close to the cabins. Not ideal but they were also a very short walk to the beach. So VERY THANKFUL For the trees sheltering our site.
Signage is not the greatest when trying to find your actual campsite, but you are provided a map upon check-in which is useful.
One thing that surprised me was how nice the ladies bathroom was. It was the prettiest and most functional bathroom I have ever used at a campsite.

Was a little nervous after reading some of the bad reviews, but was so happy that we booked at Half Moon Resort! The staff were friendly and very helpful at checkin and anytime I had a question. The bathrooms were nice and well kept. There was lots for my son to do and he loved the inflated jumping pillow and mini golf. I expected to have to pay a fee for some of the activities but they were included in the camping experience. There was a playground and a nice sized beach. The beach had showers for rinsing off.
There was a small store that had ice and firewood as well as some food and snacks. Will definitely be going back!
As for the reviews about campers being loud- that would be more of a review of humans and not the camp resort. Every campsite I've ever been to have people having fun- I personally felt like people were being respectful

This place is a hidden gem 25 mins from the city. Well maintained facilities, clean grounds, friendly staff and a nice small beach for the kids. The loan a toy program is awesome. The kids can take out mini golf, basketballs, pickle ball etc at no charge just a small refundable deposit. Store is well stocked and reasonably priced and the propane tank exchange is a great feature to have. The new owners have gone the extra mile to make it a good camping experience for everyone. We will definitely return
