Lamoureux Park

Fantastic park for the total eclipse. The city of Cornwall put on a great show with engaging fun activities. The Cornwall police were amazing at managing the crowds, the intersections, and were very friendly. What a great impression for all of us eclipse visitors!!

Although Cornwall gets a bad rap, I was surprised by many of the great things I found during a recent visit. On top of my list is the beautiful Lamoureux Park, with its lovely greenspace, playground, theatre stage, and wonderful path next to the river. This park is really a fun place to visit and will definitely come back the next time I am in the city.

I went to an event nearby and stumbled upon this amazing park! It's super green and clean in the summer, with a gorgeous lake view. Perfect for a leisurely walk, bike ride, or playing with the kids. Highly recommend!

It was peaceful and friendly here to watch the Solar eclipse at it's 99%. My camera couldn't catch it but it was cool with the light ring around it :)

Such a beautiful park, something for everyone. Grab something to eat, go to the splash pad with the kids, There is also an outdoor workout spot. Beautiful pathways along the river.

I have been to this park more than 10 times. It's a lovely place to go for long walks or biking.

Was a large and beautiful park. Perfect for seeing the eclipse. Would visit again on another day. Lots of parking, and the facilities were great, very clean good access for a family.

The Cornwall Ribfest is a great place to go on rides or feed up. A really well looked after venue with substantial Town backing.
A huge bonus is to just take a walk along the river. Ran into a few locals with great stories about the Mounties busting smugglers. All that effort crossing a very fast river .. to lose your load and jail time.

Excellent place for picnic or to just hang out. There's marina along which one can have a nice walk. One can engage in a couple of sports activities as well.
We got the food delivered from a restaurant nearby over here and we enjoyed a great meal in the nature. There are many benches with 4 to 6 people capacity so it is good for groups.
There is a parking lot with a couple of parking spots but you can also park on the street if it is full.
Definitely recommended.

Very nice park with great playground and washrooms, plus scenery! We used the paths when we were biking along the St Laurence River in Cornwall.

Lovey place for a walk or cycling. Lots of picnic tables available if you just want to enjoy a picnic. Playground for kids available. Bike paths used by both pedestrians and cyclists. There a podium for concerts and plays. Or just walk along the river.

Beautiful lake park with so many birds! We saw hundreds of Canadian geese, ducks and seagulls! Paved walking path and beautiful big trees. Plenty picnic tables and chairs. We had a lovely time walking along the lakeshores with the accomplishment birds, nature and beautiful sunset! Precious!

My first time in this park visiting from Ottawa. Picked up take out lunch and went to eat it in the park. The park was very clean. There were picnic tables and benches available and garbage cans. People were walking or riding their bicycles along the path and even made conversation. Very friendly area and beautiful scenery by the water.

In love with this place. Very calming, relaxing and mindful environment this place hold. Canal and lake are beautiful to watch on a breezy quiet day. Birds and trees full of flowers, pollinator insects on trees and smell of lake and soil are magic.

Where the community comes together. A great park located right next to the river. To be enjoyed at any pace with the accessibility of boking and walking paths. Close to a children's water park and several location attractions ANNND just down the road from our downtown core. Worth taking a stroll through.

such a lovely & peaceful place to relax next to the water & in nature ! ♡ we found a table in front of the water ! the view is breathtaking during sunset & there's so much to do around ! not so far from the entrance, you can also rent bikes if you don't have one ! & there's also metal bars & equipment to work out next to the park for kids !

We had a short trip to Cornwall from Quebec and this park was definitely a breath of fresh air! I usually only see a bunch of seagulls in most of the parks I frequent in Montreal and it was nice to see different aquatic birds for a change. It was somewhat relaxing watching them. The locals are also very nice. A great place to do your reading, yoga or just to sit and relax.

Had an incredible time for the April 2024 eclipse, thousands of people and music next to a river, it was a surreal experience

What a great place for kids!

We were visiting from out of town. This was an AMAZING play structure for all ages, based on a gravel ground. The splash pad was HUGE. Biggest & more fun than most of the ones in Ottawa.

Lots of benches and tables to enjoy the water view or to watch your kids. Bathrooms on site. A hot dog stand with snacks and drinks. I even saw a water bottle refill station.

Great place near the water to stop and get some energy out with the kids on a road trip.
