William Lake Provincial Park - Nice campground located along aside a lake. Campsites themselves are fairly small but the area is very nice. There’s no electric sites at this campground but that’s worth the trade off for the location, playground and beach which are all very nice and well kept. There is a small store on site that sells wood and small snacks. On the road into the campground a farmer has a well marked self serve firewood stand that you can purchase bags for $10. I highly recommend this beach over that of the nearby Adam Lake Campground. Note you do drive down a very dusty gravel road for about 20 minutes before you get to the park. There is minimal/no cell reception at this campground unless you use the American Cell Towers and are willing to pay the roaming charges. Water is potable. Overall I highly recommend the visit.

We went to Boissevain on the hottest day of the year and were desperate for water. So we asked the locals where to go and they said William Lake (no leeches like the other one).
Nice little beach, the usual sea gulls and sand. The bathrooms um, had a rustic bowely smell to them. Wasps. But there's wasps everywhere.
Nice place to get wet and dry off.

I did not go camping here I only went to the beach so Im giving it a 5-star rating because of the beach only.

The Beach is very good! I've been to a few campgrounds before and this is the best beach I've ever seen! the water is super clear! The sand is nice! The washrooms by the beach are ok. even if you don't want to go into the water there are places to sit! there is also a place to rinse your feet after to get all the sand off! But there are weeds once you get to the rope at the barrier.

Very nice place to camp if you can go without any service. Excellent playground and beach area but it takes a bit of a hike to get there.

Loved the hike to the Turtle Back. Hoping they will repair the lookout tower at the top where there is a spectacular panoramic view of the area.

Great quiet out of the way campground. They've done a lot of work on the trail around the lake. It is now a great 5km or so walk with hills that make for some nice views. Would be fun on a bike too. The whole park seems well maintained. Bring all you need, there is nothing available other than firewood.

I love this place so much!
It's my favourite place to spend a summer day.
The whole area is always so clean, the lake is clear and not too cold, it's quiet without all the motorized toys on it, people are quite friendly, it's so pretty, and there is a fairly new play structure for the little ones, as well as a volleyball net for the older kids/adults. Not far from the beach area is a dock to launch a canoe, kayak, or paddle board.
There are plenty of picnic tables and fire pit areas to cook on, and the Turtle Back hiking trail is a must do! The tower on the trail overlooking the area has a fabulous viewpoint.
I've yet to camp overnight there, but driving around the campsite areas, everything is in pristine condition.
I hope that one day they can change out the outhouse style facilities at the beach into a modernized washroom/changeroom facility. Besides that, William Lake is simply, amazing! ❤

My favourite campground in the Turtle Mountains. Beautiful beach/swimming area and a couple of good hiking trails. Camping is fantastic - as long as you don't need electricity - all sites are unserviced. If you need electrical, try Adam Lake instead.

We go there for a week every year. The staff is friendly and everything is always clean. Great place to relax and lots of surrounding lakes for good fishing.

Stunning. There was hardly anyone around on a Saturday afternoon so enjoyed this huge place all to ourselves.

Nice, quiet park, with decent hiking trails and quite accessible. The trail to the lookout is quite manageable in the winter.

Awesome place, smaller campground but it's very tidy and the lake is just perfect for a casual paddle.

Just a great body of water maybe slightly more circular then I would like. But the staff refuse to take my suggestions for adding more points under advisement .
