Beyond Bliss Spa & Suites

We were a little hesitant given some of the reviews, but we had a great stay. The staff was friendly, the room was nice, and the deck for watching the sunset was fantastic (and the carpets were totally fine, maybe replaced?). The deck is somewhat shared, and is above the parking lot, but the view was hard to beat (except maybe if you were on the top floor!).

This review is for the spa, however I have previously booked the hotel and been pleased with the rooms too. I booked a facial, massage and pedicure for myself and my mom. We are frequent spa patrons so kind of know what to expect. My services by Rae were absolutely fabulous and my mom was equally impressed by her treatments with Stacey. Wonderful relaxing day and of course we will be back for more! Thank you both!

We loved our top floor, well equipped king suite with amazing ocean views. Good restaurants nearby. Great value but be prepared to climb stairs, no elevator. Also book well in advance to get the ocean views, as it is very popular.

Lovely place to stay on the Sunshine Coast. Great spacious lounge and bedroom and fantastic views.
Batteries recharged with stay there.
Also were kind enough to post back my almost new running shoes when I realised I'd left them there!

THIS PLACE IS THE SWEETEST LITTLE 5 STAR HOTEL!!!

We only had one night in Powell River and one of the locals recommended this place. It was $169 for a fully furnished one bedroom suite with a jacuzzi tub and a huge patio overlooking the ocean. The entrance is through the spa, which was great because we were able to pick up some candles and massage oil before we crashed for the night.

The couch was really comfortable and there are so many closets and we got to watch TV in the living room and then in the bedroom, but not before having a Jacuzzi bath first. I was in heaven last night.

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING HERE THE NEXT TIME WE ARE IN POWER RIVER, AND WE WILL BE RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO EVERYBODY!!!

Because this place is so fantastic, I will mention the three things that they need to do to make it beyond 5 stars:

1. You provide really nice toiletries to use in the soaker jacuzzi tub, and you are located right above a spa. So bathrobes and slippers would have been a nice touch. We actually assumed that you would have these, because you have everything else.

2. You need better bed sheets! Your place is way too nice for the quality bed sheets and bedlinen that you have. The sheets were really uncomfortable and scratchy.

3. A pitcher in the kitchen. You have the cutest little kitchen with a dishwasher in the little island!! And your kitchen has everything you need to live there for a few days comfortably. You even have a cullender for pasta. But when I wanted to make ice tea, I had to use a cooking pot.

If you looked after those three things I just mentioned, you'd have probably have the nicest hotel in Powell River.

PS - Could you make the wifi login info easier to find in the room and/or have it included in the key card holder when you check in? I didn't have glasses with me and I was looking everywhere.

Beautiful place, absolutely loved it. If you can get a room with ocean views you’ll be blown away by the view. Although the road traffic on the street view side isn’t too loud, the view on the other side is amazing. If you want to book into the spa do it before you come as they are busy. All in all an amazing stay, wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely be back.

My 2nd stay and it is just as nice as the 1st time. For work or for play it is a great place to unwind. A big king size bed for the big an tall guys (my partner is 6'4" and slept comfortable). Great kitchen for cooking a full meal. TVs in both rooms for seperate down time. Love the jetted tub and heated floors in the bathroom. Coffee with a view in the patio in the morning. We will be back.

From check in to check out this place exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing - even when we accidentally left our room keys in the room after hours. Sheona was there in minutes to give us another key. Location was excellent. The rooms were beautiful. We had the mountain view and did not mind any traffic noise. We spent each evening on the deck and had breakfast there in the mornings. Our only mistake on this trip was not giving ourselves enough time here. Fabulous area!

The name of this place could not be more perfect. I checked in just after 5 o'clock in the afternoon staff were extremely friendly. When I arrived at the room I was in awe. Having stayed at other hotels in the city this one blew my mind. With full equipped kitchen, spacious living room with electric fireplace, balcony, and large bathroom with a jetted tub is more than anyone could ever ask for. The decor is cozy and modern, fresh and clean. Very impressed with Beyond Bliss!

Probably one of the best pedis I've ever had and I love the lotion that they used! We will be back next time we visit Powell River. One thing to note is that you need to book ahead. We called the day of and they were able to get us in for one treatment but didn't have space to do everything we wanted.

Beautiful room. And very clean. Loved the decor - very well planned space. Very comfortable beds/pillows and a beautiful and spacious bathroom/shower. And the ocean sunset from our deck! Highly recommended.

Very nice accomodation in Powell River where a great hotel is hard to find. Walking distance from the wharf. Room is beautifully build with a full kitchen and sleeps 2 in the bedroom and 2 on a pull out couch. Great!

Our suite (201) exceeded our expectations. Check in was seamless and the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Free parking with access from the parking lot was a bonus. We watched the sunset from the patio. We'll be back!

Stayed one night on the way from Vancouver Island back to Vancouver. This is a lovely small hotel. Beautiful room, very helpful check-in in the adjoining spa and shop. Ideal for good food, bar and morning coffee all within a few metres walk.

I was attending a casual gathering at this location. This room was quite lovely with all the needed amenities and a gorgeous view. And a heated bathroom floor. I appreciate the craftsmanship that clearly went into the construction of the Beyond Bliss Suites.

Lovely rooms. Very clean and well appointed with spectacular views. Quiet convenient location in downtown Powell River. Friendly staff was a plus!

Shocked! After travelling many places on the coast et cetera, this was a very pleasant surprise. The pictures on the website do not do the suites justice. Very new, clean, bright and "executive" looking. Staff were most wonderful at booking and checking in. I will only use this place for future stays.
