I absolutely love this place. It's really quiet, the people camping & day trippers are really friendly. The staffing could use an upgrade. They do drive around once every few hours or so, which gives a nice feeling of security/safety. A pavilion on the trailer side, where I hear Bingo is played. Some great trails to take a hike on, both sides.
I always have a great time when I go.
When there's not a lot of campers on the day side there is lots of places to have a picnic. Tables by the lake are nice.

I hope this helps with u planning of ur next stay-cation!!!

I went to Springwater today for the Maple Syrup Festival and Pancake Breakfast. Tom did a wonderful job explaining how maple syrup is made. The pancake and sausage breakfast was delicious. I purchased some maple syrup, maple butter, maple sugar candies, and a maple candle. All the staff were so friendly and happy, it was a very busy day the lineup for breakfast was a good 45 minutes but so worth it. Thank you to all the kind staff for making this event happen!!!

Absolutely fantastic place for a nice walk. There's numerous different trails, some longer, some shorter, and all beautiful. Excellent place to study nature and watch wildlife. There's also a Beach area for swimming, a playground, a campground, canoe and paddle boat rentals, and more. Also, for those who like fishing, there is decent fishing for a variety of different fish. Definitely recommend it.

This is one of the biggest, oldest Carolinian forests in the area. Such a beautiful place to wander through and enjoy nature! The trees are very large and old. The path through the forest is wide and very well kept. There are markers around the path to read up on and show you where you are. It’s a very busy path but everyone is friendly.
I tend to like wandering off the path to look at things, but beware of ticks if you choose to do so! I got one on me the other day 😬
If you are fortunate you may even hear the pileated woodpecker calling or hammering away at a dead tree somewhere in the forest. And if you are VERY lucky, as I was the other day, you may even spot one way up in the canopy!!
Be sure to leave your trail fee in the box provided or stop across the street at the office to leave a taxable donation. It takes a lot of work to keep up a beautiful path in a one of a kind forest like this one!

Great trails for a leisurely hike/walk. Several loops to choose from and all paths are relatively smooth and relatively flat (gentle inclines). Also wide enough for social distancing. Very good signage- maps are positioned along the way where the trails fork. Lots of birds and critters to see too!

Incredible place, just stunning especially right now at this time of year. Dogs are welcomed as long as on a leash (but if well behaved, it's an amazing off leash locations, but the rules are stated dogs must be leashed, and picked up after!). We walked the larger trail and the trail was well maintained, only slightly muddy here and there but my shoes were fine when done. Took us about an hour and a bit to walk the one trail at a fairly average walking pace, with dogs and strollers. The leaves are turning so its just truly gorgeous all around you as you walk. I'll be back without a doubt.

This is an awesome conservation area. There are a number of different routes that you can take surrounding the lake in the middle. The routes are well maintained and clearly marked. In addition to that there are a number of different parking lots. We have yet to have a problem finding parking when we come here.

This place is open as long as you practice social distancing. Beautiful trails and scenery. Highly recommend checking it out. Paths are super wide also had zero issues social distancing. Going to come back in the summer for sure 🇨🇦

This area is lovely! There is a great trail to walk on and such nice views along the water. We really wanted to check out the playground but it was "closed" due to new covid restrictions then reopened literally the same day just after we got home (lol). But it looked awesome! Definitely worth a visit.

Nice campground always well maintained. Hiking trails here are wide leisurely and gorgeous and one of the highest old growth carolinana forests left in southern Ontario. Great place to spend time, hiking camping, fishing, paddling. The annual maple syrup festival is really cool always a treat! There is always things going on around here! Fishing Derby's, festivals, concerts, fireworks truly a unique campground that everyone should check out!
