Maxi Gatineau Maloney

Excellent grocery store. Lots in stock. The lanes are wide, easy to pass people. Most if not all staff are bilingual. Great sales. I just dont like the barriers at the entrance ; they react too slow, I always knock my legs on them lol

Very clean, great prices. I usually didn't like going to Maxi stores but this one is great. I saved about $50 on my groceries compared to Metro getting same items.

Maxi is one of my favorite supermarkets in Gatineau.

According to Wikipedia: "Maxi is a discount grocery retailer based in Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1984 by Provigo, it is a division of Loblaw Companies and the largest of Loblaws' Quebec supermarket chains. Maxi is the Quebec equivalent of No Frills, a chain of franchised discount grocery stores outside Quebec, except that Maxi stores are owned by the company. Over 7,000 people are employed at the Maxi and Maxi & Cie stores across Quebec."

Don't you just love it when supermarkets are divisions of other bigger supermarkets? According to the above, Provigo, Loblaws, No Frill, and Maxi can be somehow grouped together.

I love Maxi for its affordable items, the large varieties, the huge shopping space, the renewed stock, and especially for its Flashfood application which allows people to buy certain food items for discounted prices - as they near their expiration dates.

I really enjoyed shopping here. There's a little of everything from food to clothing... Very reasonable prices .

One of the best locations. I only wish they bring back spelt flour.

This Maxi is huge, good deals, I was able to get 2 x 32 inches smart TV from this store, they were carrying the product in an Home section of the grocery store. Nice deal !!!

This is a great store, because of one specific person. Carmen is a cashier, often at the first cashier station. She is incredibly nice, fun to talk to, and she actually cares about her customers.

I'm new to Canada, having moved here in 2021, and she was one of the first people to make me feel welcome.

The store is great, but the employees make it better!

You have to pack your own groceries, departments are very basic but this is reflected in the prices which is what I'm all about. The anxiety I get from frantically trying to put my groceries back into my cart at the checkout is well worth the overall savings.

Except for the occasional price tag missing in the produce, our experience is always adequate. We drive an extra mile for their price matching policy.

Great, clean location. Friendly staff. Variety of food is plentiful. All items are always in stock. Prices are super great. Highly recommend this Maxi.

Pretty big selection of products at better price than it's competitors. If you're looking for Bougie Snobby expensive product, go to IGA, if you want to save and find decent products, go right ahead.

Best Maxi in the Outaouais. Fresh veggies are consistently good quality, and I like that they have the home/Joe Fresh selection as well. Clean store and never a huge line when I go.

Just moving to Gatineau from Kingston, ON, where we do not have this chain. I was pleasantly surprised to find that items were pleasantly arranged in logical places. Store was clean and not cluttered as shelves were being restocked. Staff was very friendly, and when the time came when I COULDN'T, the staff members didn't give up, or make up some random isle, they hunted down a manager and got the correct location.

Good clean grocery store with lots of selection of food, houshold items, drinks, etc. They have a large joe fresh clothing section with clothes for all ages. The self check cashes were easy to use, clean and the staff associate in that area was very helpful.

First time use app flashdeal. And ended up buying item at Maxi that participate to this app. To bring you good deal on fruits vegetble meat any thing perishable. Box of fruit or vegies 5$, pack of meat 50% off.. i could say a word on the info givine to employe. Becouse some wasnt sur how the app work.but other very well. But it is new app. so just a bit time to get . And
