Skyglass Canela

I’m short of words for this experience! It was giving all sorts of good vibes and nature. I could feel the breeze on my face.
Things to note while coming here. 1. It’s cold in Canela, try to come on time so that you can get pictures without a lot of people in the background. It’s really a struggle to get pictures without people in the background. This place is very beautiful! I love the experience. The pictures taken with the company’s camera is not free but the experience is worth it.

Great day out. Amazing views, seriously stunning. Won't be easy for people scared of heights but definitely worth it.

The view is beautiful, I had a challenge paying for the ticket online because their site does not accept international cards. However, I reached out to them via WhatsApp and they were very friendly and happy to assist with an alternative.

My tickets were emailed to me.

Getting there, it was a lot of people on the Skyglass but it’s all part of the experience.

And we took the ride right beneath, it lasted about 2 minutes and a half and it was exhilarating.

It was pretty quick and didn’t have to wait for that one.

Here are a few tips for people coming out of town.

1. Ubers kept canceling on me, I was trying to get a ride from Gramado to Skyglass and they said it was not worth it for them because it was far and they would most likely not get a ride back. So we had to get a car.

2. There is no mobile service there but there is Wi-Fi

3. You are allowed to take your phone and photos at Skyglass but for the ride below it is prohibited, they however sell all your photos to you and it’s given to you immediately at around 100BRL at the time of this post. They give soft copies and give you a QR code.

4. For both experiences, it cost 160 BRL. You can do just the view above for 100BRL.

5. They have places to eat, drink, storage for bags, and a museum of the evolution of iron that you can enjoy while in there.

It’s a nice experience and I had a great time

Amazing scenery. But it was not so scared high altitude than expected.
If you go in rainy season, I recommend you to go there in the morning.

Don’t wear a dress as there is an under current wind! It’s hard taking pictures while having to hold your skirt down!

Long queues due to its popularity, R$170 to walk out on the platform and have a ride on the monorail. The monorail good feeling when looking down at the ground way below makes you feel like your flying like a bird.

Beautiful view of mountains with a glass floor. Don't be afraid of heights or fear on the glass floor to break haha

Really nice, but pricey

Definitely worth the visit. You pay $12 for each person. Children and seniors pay less.
It has the most amazing lookout canyon of the whole region. If you're adventurous, there are trails that lead to waterfalls. However, they are tough. It's a 400m descent, that takes about 60min. There's no phone signal and no one to help you. You need to take provisions, repelent and lots of water. Afterwards, you'll have to go back up, which is even harder. You can't start that descent after 4pm. It is incredibly worth the time and effort. Very beautiful and peaceful. I saw a tarantula on my way up. Besides that, the place offers a little restaurant with homemade food at a reasonable price. The whole place only accepts cash because there is no phone signals around.

Amazing view and place! The park organization should "prepare" the visitors in a way to get excited and then visit the sky glass, not directly as today.
