Agence pro. Le guide (Wilson) était très sympa, conduisait prudemment, était bien équipé et nous a en cela entièrement satisfait lors d'une excursion privée pour deux de 2 jours et 1 nuit dans le salar (jour 1) et aux lagunes (jour 2). Je recommande !

Très bonne agence. Un grand merci à notre chauffeur Jhillmer Estelo pour sa conduite, sa disponibilité et son sourire.

Hicimos la excursión al salar de un día y fue todo a la perfección. Se notaba mucha profesionalidad y experiencia.

I booked my tour with Tierra Mística, but was moved to travel with Betto Tours on the morning of the trip.

The women at the tierra mística office were welcoming and friendly, but the tour was nothing like that.

The driver, Eusebio, was grumpy for most of the trip. He made disrespectful and unkind comments when someone was a couple of minutes late, he didn’t like that I was vegan and acted disrespectfully towards this.

Although I informed my tour agency before booking that I’m vegan and was told that it wouldn’t be a problem, the driver didn’t understand this. Furthermore, he didn’t listen to me when I talked to him about it.

After the first lunch I asked Eusebio if for the next meal, the meat could be separated from the vegetables (because it wasn’t at this meal). He laughed about it. At the dinner it was the same. The entire dinner was on the same plate and likely cooked together. The chicken, the potatoes and the veggies were together.

At breakfast they served ham and cheese sandwiches the first day and pancakes with yogurt the second day, so I didn’t have breakfast on any of he days as none of it was vegan. I saw other tour companies serving fruits and avocados, but we didn’t have anything fresh at breakfast and nothing at all that I could eat. I asked the guide if he had any fruit and he just said no. He didn’t care that I didn’t eat.

To make things even worse, the driver asked me to pay extra! Turns out that I paid 50bs less than the people who booked via Betto tours agency, so he wanted me to pay him this difference in cash. He didn’t talk to me about it, he spoke to the other people in my group about it! This made me feel extremely disrespected and uncomfortable. Afterwards I told him how my agency, tierra mística, didn’t tell me anything about any extra costs. I was in their office 30 min before departure and they said nothing about any extra payment. Then he said it was ok. It seemed as if he just wanted to squeeze out some money from me.

Later, when we arrived at the next accommodation, the driver made dark jokes about how he is going to make me a bed in the car since I didn’t pay him extra. He made those jokes in front of the whole group when I was away.

On the last day he didn’t want to go to the green lagoon saying how it’s nothing special, he pushed my group to do other things instead of the lagoon. Eventually when the group decided they wanted to see the green lagoon, he showed how unhappy he was with this and became rude and grumpy once again. He then took us to the white lagoon viewpoint, but didn’t take us to the green lagoon despite that being in the tour program which was sold to us.

Overall, Eusebio was a terrible travel companion. I wouldn’t call him a guide, because he didn’t guide us, didn’t explain almost anything about any place. He only drove us and did his best to damage the mood of the group.

Although I couldn’t eat much on this tour and Eusebio, the driver, was very negative, I still enjoyed this tour only because the people I was with were wonderful and the scenery was beautiful. If I hadn’t been lucky enough to be placed with fun people, I would have had a miserable time.

I highly recommend you do not travel with Eusebio, the moody driver.
