Cool place, but full of tourists. If you want to take photos with the locomotives near the entrance, prepare to wait in line. We walked to the edges of the cemetery, almost nobody goes there and it feels much nicer. Be sure your camera is fully charged before going there!

Worth visiting. You will not need more than 20-30 minutes here. Nice to climb and take some photos with the old locomotives. Personally, I liked it more than I was expecting.

Great experience for families. Like a playground just really unsafe (;
There's also a very cool presentation of recycled robots and metalic animals

A really unique experience. The place is a bit of a mess, don't expect it to look like a museum. It's dirty, unorganized, and a bit unsafe, so watch where you step.

Wonderful place to visit on the way the the salt flats in Uyuni. Many train wrecks. Just beautiful. Don't miss it

Very cool spot in the middle of nowhere. Looks like a scene straight out of a Mad Max movie. A bunch of rusted out trains with graffiti tags all over. We stopped here on the way to Salar de Uyuni and I had a blast climbing around all the trains.

This is a wonderful tourist attraction before entering the Salt Flats. Be sure to come early as it gets packed with tourists in the afternoon. You can capture some stunning photography here of the derelict trains and corroded metal. A few cars are graffitied but it adds texture to the landscape.

Best time to go is in the morning to beat the crowds. You can enjoy the trains without many tourists around. Neat history behind this interesting place so most likely your Bolivian guide will inform you about it or ask.

This is usually the first point of call before you head out into the salt flats from Uyuni Town centre. You are free to climb upon the trains and Potter around for around an hour or so before getting back into the jeep. I enjoyed this place.

What an out of this world place! Just amazing, weird and decadent atmosphere. The tours starting in Uyuni will always bring you there, usually in the morning time, for half an hour. We really found it was too crowded (everyone was there at the same time, around 11am) and that half an hour was too little for such a photogenic place. Be ready to take zillions of photos. You can go inside and up some wagons. Anyway be careful because it slippery and not at all safe.

HOT TIP: if you happen to have some free time in Uyuni after 12pm or even better during the afternoon just walk to this place from the town center, it’s only 30min. Sunset is nice there. Avoid to walk during the night though, because the long street to get there is a bit too empty.

The line installed in the end of the XIX century used to serve the mining in the salt flats. When the industry collapses in the 40’s these wagons were abandoned.

A dive into the history of the region. Steam trains long abandoned and succumbing to rust seem to remind us of a bygone era. If you listen hard enough you might be able to hear one of them whistle. To see more go to my YouTube channel 👉🏻 MotoVisionX

I liked far more than I was expecting. The old trains make a somehow harrowing and unique landscape. An awesome place to take pictures, if you are into that. And the little kids around were having a blast.

No entry fee, no security, NOT a museum. Just get to climb deserted trains and locomotives and take cool pictures! Most of them are iron and get a bit warm in the sun, and probably not a bad idea to have your tetanus shot up to date

Absolutely crazy how these old american trains just lie there and get rusty over time. Even as a adult it was a great playground to climb the trains, take photos and just explore it. It's the first stop of many tours in Uyuni and it's a great start.

It’s unique and fun, especially for young kids who could climb the trains if they feel adventurous. Obviously must take care and safety is important to observe as these are metal train ruins left in the desert…

Very fun place where you can climb on the trains and get some great photos. Our guide (Luis from Quechua Connection) gave us some awesome info on the history of the trains too.
