Nice place i the center of the city.
You have to go in the yard and then to the basement. It was Saturday evening and the place was completely busy, so we were lucky to get the last table.
They provide Bulgarian cuisine for sparing price.
Everything we took was quite fast served and was tasty.
Tongue fried in butter was good with local Bolarka beer.
Bonfile julienne is amazing and big enough even for two.
Friendly staff.
They accept only cash.

My favourite authentic cafe in Sofia. You won't find it easily. It has no brightly coloured signs and no signage. There are few tables inside and they are almost always all occupied. It has the most delicious Bulgarian food. Try it for sure - red pepper burek, buttered tongue, mish mash. For 3 people for a delicious dinner for everyone, we paid 20 euros, total!!!!

I love this place. Tasty food, nice draft beer, good pricing and an atmosphere that remind of Turnovo the Great. If you are looking for an unpretentious place - it's Bolyarite.

Best value location in the city center limits (and even beyond)

Go there and get back to the early 90s of post-socialist Bulgarian dystopia but accompanied by surprisingly good and cheap food and beverages.

Has a summer garden as well, perfect for late afternoon lunch.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and cheap and the people are really nice. Don't expect anything fancy but rather a cosy and friendly place. It's a little bit hard to find, but look for the yellow gate on "Graf Ignatiev" Street near the crossroad with "Rakovski" Street
