The City Garden

This is truly a people's park. At night the youth gather here with their store. Bought booze. In the daytime families, romantic couples, and the elderly gather here to pass time.

It's not a fancy park or world famous, but it is what a park should be unless I give it five stars.

Lovely little park, with historic buildings around..and at Christmas time there is also a little Christmas Market

Its really cute there. You can move benches around wherever you want them. You have coffee shops around like starbucks and costa.

Another cool place within the city center to have some relaxation and enjoy a bit of nature. With various landmarks and places of interest also a good place to get a break for tourists. On weekends you can see a cool form of commercial by a local dance club demonstrating typical traditional Bulgarian dances and also engaging random bypassers in the activity. Also quite often there are events and festivals there.

Such a nice park with lots of sculptures. Some restaurants. People playing chess. So chill. Very nice if you like to lay in the grass and just enjoy yourself.

Lovely garden full of people relaxing. The converted coffee shop and the second hand library make for lovely and unique features.

One of the best gardens I’ve ever visited. The place is fantastic, clean and beautiful. I can stay there all day, especially when the sun hits the garden! Fresh air and tones of water hearing!

Grab a coffee 'ToGo' at a nearby cafe and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere on a bank near the fountain ⛲

Beautifully designed 19th century park space with a lot of place to sit down and enjoy the man made nature arrangement.

They say you need to have a beer here in garden to be a local from Sofia. Chess matches happening for money like in central park

There are a lot of benches, fountains and National Theater.
In the summer days it's one green and fresh place to see with friends on a coffee or have a walk.

During the festive time of the Christmas Market. Delicious food, beautiful Christmas toys, live performance on the stage.

Weinahcsmarkt is as good as in Germany. Come here and celebrate it.

Wonderful. Next to the building are Christmas markets where every stall is worth stopping by and tasting or buying a nice gift.

One of my favourite places in Sofia. The sculpture of the dancer is so gracious and yet powerful. The view towards the building of the National Theatre is breathtaking!

A lovely place to spend a few hours sitting on a bench eating ice-cream or playing chess with local players.

A small but very beautiful park in the heart of the city, surrounded by many beautiful buildings.

Great place to stop, sit and enjoy the nature in the middle of the city.
This spacious garden has fountains, trees and benches scattered along it, and can be combined with a day trip to the monumental and historic sites close by, just a few minutes walk.
Don't miss the fountain close to Ivan Vazov National Theater!

Such a lovely park, I highly recommend that you visit for a nice afternoon stroll when in Sofia.

A nice green spot in the heart of Sofia, right next to the beautiful neoclassical building of the National Theater. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, with its greenery, fountains, and statues, although it gets crowded on weekends and weekday evenings.
