ROOTS est.1996 romantic pizzeria & social

I went there by friends suggestion for a cool place to eat with good and fresh food with vegetarian menu. I was really surprised how fast the order was brought and it was delicious! We had a outside table next to river. I definitely recommend that restaurant you will not be disappointed. By the way they are pet friendly and cup with water will wait for your pet next to the table. You also have to make reservation at least one day earlier.

Cosy place, we had a small celebration, there was an issue with the reservation (inside/outside table) , however management was swift to align everything in flash.

Pizza is awesome. I usually don't like the one with mushrooms, but there it was so good, I ate my wife's pizza.

Very nice place next to the river in the city center, with a very cozy atmosphere.

The food is delicious and very nice variations of salads, amazing Italian pizzas and pastas, whatever you choose, you will be happy in the end.

The service is good, the people there are cool! 👌🏽

I just wish and recommend to them to upgrade the coffee with a nice white rosted 100% arabica Kenya or Ethiopia which to be tasty, cause the one that are using is a totally "No" (I don't wanna write the brand in order to avoid making commercializing that brand). 😊

And also it would be nice to have a S. Pelegrino sparkling water in a glass bottle, because the one in that you have in a glass bottle by my opinion is not better than S. Pelegrino. 😊

Love it. My favourite pizza place in Blagoevgrad. The absolute must try there is the pizza with spicy honey - AMAZING, SPECTACULAR. You can't help but feel like home when you eat that pizza. Also, the desserts?! For the love of all that's holy, don't sleep on them!

Update Jan2024. Service is really bad. You can wait 25-30min+ for pizza and lots of minutes to order or re-order. If you are two the second pizza came with 15 min delay after the first one. So you eat on different slots with your company. Still very delicious and friendly stuff but with this service you need iron nerves.

Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten. We reached this little gem on our way back to Bucharest from Greece. We regret not knowing about them before. It’s small and cozy, with pop-art italian posters and vintage products, just like an Italian place should be. Do not miss their Dolce Pepperoncino pizza with spicy honey - such a delicious and original taste. And to all my Romanian fellows: skip Happy in Ruse, skip Sofia and go the extra mile to Blagoevgrav!

Pizzas are amazingly delicious. Atmosphere is great, it is a perfect place to eat and drink good wine or beer. The waitress was very nice and welcoming.

This cozy restaurant is a hidden gem of Blagoevgrad - they have some appetizers and salads, but the main part of their menu is their pizza - a nice selection which aims to give you that Italian taste you're craving for.

Very kind staff and cozy atmosphere, we got free pizza for my birthday which was delicious (try the specialities) and the wine and cocktails are very tasty. We definitely recommend it for everyone which is looking for a good time in downtown

Enjoyable place to have a meal. Great vegetarian food. (We had vegetable lasagna and vegetable pizza, as well as the vitamin salad.) Outdoor seating has riverside ambiance. Service is outstanding.

Best pizzeria in Baloevgrad. I’ve tried nearly every pizza on the menu, and they’re amazing every time. Great atmosphere and music as well. Can’t beat a pizza with a nice Raspberry Lady gin cocktail for dinner here

High quality ingredients, amazing food and fantastic (local!) wine, and English speaking staff. The pizza was incredible and I am from New Jersey (where we have a very high bar when it comes to all Italian food).
