WINE CELLAR - VARNA

Fabulous wine tasting and tour. Great explanations of the five wines sampled and an excellent translator provided. Despite being a working environment we were able to view all areas of the winery and were encouraged to ask as many questions as we wanted. Snacks and water were provided and there was no rush to finish. The tastings are currently at 14-00hrs every Wednesday and there are three different levels of tour. The silver package was ideal for us and at 16лв per person I’m sure we will go again. The shop is well stocked and the wine we bought was nicely boxed up at the end of the day. Overall highly recommended, well done Varna Winery and team, an awesome experience.

Best experience I ever had in a winery. Knowledgeable and extremely professional wine experts. Amazing wines and a must visit for those they love wine.

I highly recommend to take the wine tasting tour in this place. They have several options of what you can taste: 3 or 5 wines and you can add snacks to go with it. Just call and book it in advance, you don't have to be in a group - they did the tour for only me and my fiancee and showed all the winery where the wine is produced and bottled.

The wine tasting was exceptional!!! We were told about the each wine that we drank - how to drink it, smell it and what taste we should feel afterwards.

The quality of the wines is really great and the prices are low. There is also a small shop there where you can buy the wines that you have tasted. I would recommend to go with the red SMS blend.

NOTE: there is no public transport to reach this place. We were staying in Golden Sands resort and we went there by taxi. I would advise to mark the spot in google maps and try to show it to the driver. This is because at first we had problem finding a decent driver: some of them didn't know where the place was or the ride price was very expensive. But in the end it cost us 20 euros to go to the place, the driver waited 1,5 hours and drove us back to our hotel.

Dear Varna Winery,

I am forever thankful for your hospitality for my private event for family and friends to celebrate the aftermath of my wedding. The food was spectacular and the wine was to die for. This was the best Bulgarian experience my foreign friends could have ever had.

The grilled fish and sea food went perfectly well with the Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. I was impressed by the mussels and it is great that your venue tries to use as many locally sourced products from the Black Sea.

I will definitely be back with my next set of friends and colleagues next year. This is the best advert that Bulgaria can ever have.

Detta var verkligen en toppenupplevelse! Istället för att boka vinresa med Ving bokade vi en silverprovning (fem viner som blev sex viner…) med tilltugg i form av tre sorter ostar och två sorters bröd (pinnar och kex) och tog en egen taxi från hotellet till vinprovningen. Taxin från Baltjic till Varna Winery kostade 90 lev för en tur och retur-resa. Silverprovningen kostade 20 lev per person.

Nona var en utomordentlig duktig guide. Personlig, med humor och mycket kunskap ledde hon oss genom guidning både av vinframställning och själva provningen på ett professionellt sätt. Allt på både bra engelska och på bulgariska.

Vi bokade provning till en torsdag kl 14 och ställde frågan via mejl kl 6 samma morgon och det gick att ordna bokning trots att vi inte bokade minst 24 timmar i förväg. Lönt alltså att ställa frågan!

Nonas service inkluderade även att hon bjöd oss på kaffe innan provningen eftersom vi anlände lite innan de övriga som bokat provning.

Rekommenderas å det varmaste!

Избата е местна забележителност. Производството й е на високо равнище, оценено и на специализирани винарски форуми. Вина с медали, включително златен.

Sehr guter Wein. Obwohl gerade geschlossen war durften wir ein kleines vinetasting machen. Haben auch gleich ein paar Flaschen mitgenommen.

Smags prøver af vine. Mange hvidvine nogle rose' og 2 rødvine. Udmærket vin til ca butiks priser. Vi kommer igen.
