Boutique Restaurant "Kanela"

Wow. Did not expect to have a meal of this standard today. Absolutely stellar. If you're staying in Nessebar, do yourself a favour and try this place. The food is contemporary and beautifully presented, flavours are bold but balanced, my shrimp risotto was great, the coffee was great, the cheesecake was great...you get the picture. Also, the music and general atmosphere was fantastic - today it was electropop followed by Iggy, The Pixies... absolutely my kind of place! They also have a beautiful one-eyed cat called Odin. I'm here for a week and I will absolutely be coming back before I leave. Friendly staff too! For reference, a main and dessert plus a drink for 2 people set us back 62 Lev total.

Located a little away from the main tourist routes. A nice cozy place, food "from under the knife", prepare to wait for your food to be freshly cooked. Interior is thought out to the smallest detail. As a theater begins with a hanger, so a good restaurant begins with a wc. The ladies room has everything that a female tourist may need.

A great experience! Cozy and comfortable, in a quiet area, very good taste and service. Prices above average, but it worth it! Also the music is very good.

The place is on the expensive side, but totally worth it.
The dishes are delicious, made out of fresh ingredients. We liked the meat dishes especially, although they do offer some vegan choices as well.
The staff is friendly and helpful, atmosphere very welcoming and pleasant, the music is nice and not loud at all.

This is definitely the best place in Nessebar! The food is delicious, fresh vegetables and beautifully served. The live music and the interior create an amazing atmosphere.
The restaurant is not located in a crowded street, but in a courtyard - so you can really relax here.
There are friendly cats living next to the restaurant and one of them even has his own place and is painted on the menu.
I highly recommend the peach salad and the mussels in cream sauce. For desнsert we took the gluten free brownies and it was magical!
I think this day will definitely stay in my memory and I will be happy to be here again!

I just want to say this is one of the best high-end restaurants I've ever been to! Food from salads and starters to main dishes and desserts was absolutely astonishing! Service was gentle, calm and on point. Atmosphere is chill and perfect for a night out, whether with friends or loved one. Recommend this place in Nessebar above all else!!

One of the few restaurants in the area where the food is very freshly prepared. Especially in Sunny beach it can be very find to find a good restaurant so I was glad to come to Nessebar and visit this one. We had some salads and risotto, we were pleased. The area around the restaurant is pretty grey and uninteresting but the restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere and a unique design.

We booked at Kanela at the very last min. when we were desperate to find a place to dine when most restaurants were fully booked or didn't answer our calls, and oh boy what a great decision we did. This is a family-owned restaurant where the whole family (even with the still not fully experienced young Son) serve the customers. The place is beautiful and modern, while every single dish tasted superb. They also have some games to keep the kids (and us adults) busy when not eating or chatting. This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in Bulgaria, and we look forward to coming back to Kanela every time we visit Burgas province.

A great experience. The restaurant is run by a lovely, kind and modest family. A magical atmosphere, a cozy haven. Great decor, exceptional attention to detail. A place unlike any other. We got there by accident and we absolutely fell in love. The food is top notch, stylishly presented and beautifully seasoned. On our first visit, we ordered carbonara and lasagne and were delighted. I'm a lasagne fanatic and this one is just perfect. We knew we would be back the next day. During the second visit, we found that we would put them to a more difficult test. We ordered liver salad, risotto with three cheeses and saffron, salmon with sweet potatoes and black angus steak. And guess what happened? They did it again! They charmed us completely. The risotto was creamy and the rice had the perfect consistency. The liver salad was delicious. The fish was juicy and done perfectly. The steak was medium as ordered and the beef tasted great. On the top of that - the whole stay was made pleasant by the talkative and charming one-eyed cat Odin, a wonderful furry fellow. You must visit this place! It is worth every moment!

This place is one of the main reasons I continue to spend my vacations in Nessebar. For two years in a row we ate there every day and the food was always perfect. You may have to wait a bit for some dishes but it's totally worth it - everything is freshly prepared and very tasty. I highly appreciate the vegan options - forget about the boring French fries, here you can actually have a proper meal as a vegan. The place is very nice and cosy, situated on a quiet street away from the traffic. There is a very nice kid's corner inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The best place to dine in Nessebar

The atmosphere is very cosy, the location is not on one of the main streets and the restaurant is not overcrowded like all of the other places.

We’ve been there 3 times during our stay and the servers were very polite and friendly. On top of that the food was far better than the other places in the city which usually serve only meet and french fries. I would recommend everyone the roasted pork neck, one of the best I have ever eaten.

I was noticed there were a bunch of toys for your little ones, which is also a plus.

My only recommendation to the personnel is to try being a little bit faster. On one of the evenings we waited 30 mins for a salad

A very nice and cozy place to spend an evening. The menu is small but varied. The food is good and the waitress was very kind and nice. The prices are ok and not too expensive.

Hands down, that's the best food experience I've had in Nesebar in the last week. Only downside is that we found Kanela so late during our break. Food is fresh, tasty, nothing is heated, everything is full of flavour and taste. Prices are not much higher than the places around but it is sooo worth it. After tasting numerous tasteless chicken dishes, their Teriyaki returned my faith in cooks around town. Pasta is delicious as well. Totally recommend to all the people tired of pre heated meals served around town.
The staff is also nice and friendly.

Excellent experience! Good quality ingredients cooked with care, very good and kind customer service, relaxing atmosphere with soft background music. Will definitely come again when visiting Nessebar.

The only thing I regret is that I'm unable to give more than 5 stars for this place!!! If you want to visit an incredibly clean and cozy place, with very polite staff and if you want to eat fantastic fresh food this is your place. This is the best restaurant in Nessebar in my opinion ... try it!

It's a bit expensive, but totally worth it. Food is very good, interior is nice. The music selection is very fancy and non-intrusive. It's located on a quiet street. The personnel is very polite. We've been visiting it every night during our stay for the last two years. Probably will continue the tradition :)

Excellent experience with very good food that was well presented and tasted great. The staff were welcoming and polite. The service was fast and the restaurants decor was modern and fresh. Overall highly recommended.
