Café Leffe

We were in Dinant for a day trip. We came to see the beautiful scenery. The restaurants in this area have poor reviews but the food at Cafe Leffe is excellent. They are very busy so it is not a quick meal but I was absolutely happy and very satisfied with my food. I had the vegetable couscous and my husband had the meatballs with liege sauce. Both were delicious. The Leffe Ruby beer is the best beer we have had anywhere in the world!!

As a bonus, the restaurant is on the river and has a great view.

Visited this restaurant for lunch today while walking around Dinant and it was a fab find. The restaurant is dog friendly so we could take our puppy in with us. The staff were very friendly and attentive so they got our order 100% correct. I had the pork shoulder and it was brilliant for the price we paid. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Cannot recommend Café Leffe enough. Easily the best meal I had while in Dinant. Attentive service, reasonable beer prices and a good steak with excellent house sauce.

The best part of this restaurant is it's location and operating time. While the majority of cafes are usually closed outside of regular meal time, this one is open the whole day.
And the beers of course!
Tip: if you want a real 'medium rare' stek, Then order 'blue'. Otherwise in Belgium they tend to overcook it.

I was almost scared away by the bad reviews, but glad I are here anyway. I order the meatballs in Liege sauce, and they were fantastic! The whole experience was great. The place was packed, so service wasn’t real quick, but it wasn’t slow either. Don’t believe the 1 star reviews - there’s something wrong with those people. Great food at a great location!

Great staff. Not all spoke good English but they tried and were very kind to us and our kids. Food was amazing. Stakes were cooked perfectly to what we ordered. Yes a little over priced but to be the Leffe cafe in the home of Leffe you have got to expect it. Great views of the river and much of the rest of town.

Just had a really lovely experience here. We were a party of 12 and they accommodated us beautifully. Friendly staff. The food wasn't cheap but was beautifully prepared. Yes it took a little while to arrive but we were a large group so all was fine. Highly recommend the steaks and the fillet of lamb

Very tasty food. The meatballs in tomato sauce are so juicy and full of flavour.

You would expect that cafe Leffe in the town of Leffe would be a very touristy place. But it has the atmosphere of a local pub and serves local food. Service is really good, with a smile and an effort to speak whatever language you try. They do prefer french, but english or dutch is fine. And the food is simple but excellent. Recommended.

Generous portions with some authentic Belgian traditional dishes. I had the pork knuckle (jamboneau) and it was mind blowing! Good selection of Leffe beers (obviously). Attentive and friendly service. It took a while for the food to arrive but we came to the restaurant at a very busy afternoon during a bank holiday so we understand they were really under pressure. Strongly recommend if you are in town

Good beer and food! Near the river

Went mostly here during our 4 day stay at Dinant. Always delicious! Kitchen is always open, apart from the most of places here. Must go if you are a big fan of steaks, vegetarians also will be pleased. Fair price, friendly staff and great location! My favorite place now.

I visited this place before the COVID. As the title says: this is the place where you can enjoy the most famous Belgian beer! If you are enough lucky, you can take a seat on the external site of the bar, right along the river, amazing to see how the colors change during the sunset. They also offer restoration services, including pasta.
