Brasserie Caracole

Really cozy bar and brewery where you can get a taste of their own beers in a 4 x 8cl format with a little explanation for every beer you're served. Also took a tour of the brewery, given by an incredibly charming and cheerful girl. Really nice place to visit while you're in the area!

Most authentic brewery from many I have seen in Belgium. No BS, Only real stuff. Decent beer. Funny story. Went there with a big group and still had fun and great and generous tasting. Recommend by all menas.

What an amazing experience! Got to learn how they brew beer. All of their options were delicious! We felt really welcomed. A must!

This is a small brewery with a unique taste. The brewery was in full operation when we stopped in on a Tuesday in November, and the young man was still glad to stop brewing and assist us. The art on the bottles is great and the lack of beer description added to my intrigue. The tasting room is awesome and right in the middle of the brewhouse.

Beer is superb. We visited the shop and had to walk past the guy chucking logs on the fire. The traditional, old world techniques used by this place smelt wonderful!!

Access is via metal steps, so no chance for wheelchairs. If you can make it up the steps, the shop is to the rear. A really short walk but there are steps.

The chap that served us was friendly and interested despite us not speaking each others languages. Really glad we made the trip out to the brewery rather than just buying from the tourist shops. Prices were slightly better too.

This place is amazing! So authentic and beautiful. That’s how I’ve imagined a real brewery. The tour was really funny and informative. The boss of the place is just an amazing man! He told us that a tour in English language should be booked in advance, but in the middle of the tour joined so many different people so he just switched to English and made it so cool. The beer is really different and has an original taste. We also were pleasantly surprised by the price of the tour and degustation. Nice place, didn't visit it for a tour or drink. But just to buy their beers. Actually they were closed. But door was open so walked in and they helped me buying my bottles. Brewery was working that time. Wood fire smell in your clothes included. Because of the traditional way they brew in copper on wood. Staff talked French and Dutch. I didn't talke English, but I think they will.

We had an fantastic and very funny tour at the Brasserie Caracole! We were celebrating the birthday of my boyfriend, who was appointed as the tour assistant and even with his broken arm, we had a perfect time and can only recommend to go there. The beer is also delicious! A Must-Go-To place for anyone who is a true beer lover and loves to laugh! :)

Old brasserie with a very special atmosphere! Ask for a tour and see how beer is made, a lot of process are still handmade. Beer is expensive (4€/btl) but worth its money, it is very tasty!! You can also order a degustation set of 4 types of beer also for 4€ and choose what you like more;)

Great place to visit when you're in dinant, as its only 6 minutes away. Great tasting beers with a variety of tastes (well presented by the staff). Overall much recommended.

Really great brewery, the only one in Europe still using wood fire to brew. The staff was really funny and friendly and the place is really picturesque. The beer is delicious.

Off the beaten track a little, but a must see on the Route de la Bière. Last wood fired brewery makes some cracking beers. My particular weakness is for Troublette. Wander in and taste.
