An interesting preserved trench section. The sandbagging is not original naturally but you geta good idea Unfortunately the underground parts are flooded but they are marked out above ground. Worth a visit.

It is well worth visiting this place—so much history in a relatively small area.
The original fire trench system is still intact. However, it's undergoing some renovation work at the moment. Nevertheless, visitors are allowed to walk inside the trench.
Free to visit and also has a free car park.

Remarkable piece of history, it's located in a current industrial zone. They saved this small piece of land. The Yorkshire Trench is a unique experience, offering insight into the intricate processes of trench warfare. How fascinating and poignant.

Absolutely amazing gem in the heart of an industrial district (others say industrial estate, this is really the heart of a large industrial region!). Poignant to imagine the troops living, dying, surviving here. Currently being renovated.

In the middle of an industrial estate a small but very poignant glimpse at real history. Definitely worth a visit.

Don't let the unlikely surroundings fool you, these are brilliantly preserved Western Front trenches. They provide an eye-opening idea of the expanse and depth of the trenches

Free to visit and located in the middle of a large modern industrial estate. Discovered during the building of the estate and is a former HQ. Today you can see the entrance which went down to about 12 rooms 10m below. On the ground you can see these passages and rooms marked out above and some recreations of the trench system.
Info boards tell the story of the regiments based there, the battles fought over this piece of land.
The few parking spaces are located right outside and the site is only a few minutes away from Ypres centre.

Such a piece of history, that we should never forget the sacrifice of these brave souls,it's being currently worked on so as to give more access to the underground aspects of the trenches,as I'm from Yorkshire I had to visit as I was in the area..

Free to visit, tucked inside an industrial estate.
The history of this place is fascinating and well worth a visit. It does need some work and maintenance though. There is a museum a short distance away but it was closed when we were there.

It was a great experience visiting with my son the well preserved trenches in their physical place and not in a museum. This is a unique opportunity to understand the conditions that our soldiers fought during ww1 and their stamina and courage. Combined with the visit to the Flanders museum is a must.

This was an unexpected find in the middle of an industrial estate! It would be amazing if they could get the water pumped out and show the underground rooms as they were, I will watch this space!!

Interesting bit of the Great War preserved due north of Ypres, it's very small and in the middle of an Industral area, so be for warned there, however still a great little spot to sit and see what a trench of the Great War looked like.

Don’t be fooled by the location, this was a great little place to visit! It only takes 5 minutes to go around but definitely worth fitting into a WW1 trenches & Memorial Day.

This is the place where you can see what the actual World War 1 trench looked like. Exactly like on the photos. The site is located next to a waste management plant, I guess the smell adds to the credibility. The Google maps GPS led us exactly to the right spot.

Very odd location right in the middle of an industrial estate but well signposted. Extremely interesting with lots of information boards in various languages, not difficult to imagine 'being there'.

A visit to this place is a real eye-opener onto the appalling conditions the foot-soldiers had to endure. Not pleasant to contemplate, but the stark realities are faithfully preserved for those looking for sombre reflection on the futility and degradation of the "Great War"

What a find! Great work to keep this intact with all the industrial buildings around it.

Very little known trench in the middle of an industrial estate, with some pretty ripe smells to match!!
Very interesting and very thought provoking standing in there knowing what had gone on in there during the war.
Nobody there when we visited which added to it.

Very eerie feeling when you get to walk along the trench knowing that 100 years earlier men fought and died in the very same spot you are walking, well worth the visit especially with a good guide to narrate the story of it's past
