Boro Bhat Masjid is located at Lalbagh in old part of central Dhaka. One of the historically very famous forts known as "Lalbagh Kella" are very close to the "Boro Bhat Masjid". At one time there were many "Tannery" industries at very near to the Boro Bhat Masjid. Now those "Tannery" industries are shifted to further north side of Dhaka at Savar. One of the very largest gaveyards in Dhaka is also very close to Boro Bhat Masjid. This graveyard is known to common people as "Azimpur New Graveyard". One of the great language martyrs named "Abul Barkat" who fought for "Bangla" as our mother language in 1952, is also rest in peace at this 'Azimpur New Graveyard'.
