My beloved childhood stadium. It's a local stadium. The largest stadium in Tangail district. BBFC football tournament is arranged here every year.

Beautiful stadium. But the surrounding area is not clean and planned. Also the wash rooms are very smelly and dirty.

My childhood was spent here playing with my friends. I love it here. Now it’s a district level Stadium so it’s fully secured from every sides. So, entry is restricted. Only opens on independence day or victory day.

One of the most underrated stadiums in Bangladesh. Tangail Stadium is a multipurpose stadium that hosts various events, such as football, cricket, concerts and cultural programs. It was built in 1938 and originally named Tangail Zila Stadium. It is owned and operated by the National Sports Council, which manages and maintains it. It has a capacity of 25,000 seats for spectators.
Cricket is the most popular sport played at the stadium, with local teams competing against each other. The stadium also attracts inter-district football matches. In 2020, the stadium hosted the first ever edition of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup in Tangail, a cricket tournament organized to honor the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 100th birthday. The participating teams were East Bengal Tangail, VP Joaher Vikings Tangail, Legends of Tangail, Tangail Super Blasters, Habit Gladiators Tangail and Tangail Stars.

A busy place since it is beside the biggest local raw market of Tangail city. Different Organisations teach the children how to play cricket in this area. The stadium is not open for the general people however. It is opened occasionally to showdown various performances of the school and College Students. It is just infront of the RAB 12.Tangail City is a great place for sports. The atmosphere around the stadium is also quite eye-catching. The RAB's office is adjacent to the gate of the stadium. District level play is organized at the stadium. It has been arranged so that thousands of spectators can sit and watch the game. There is also a system for playing badminton. It is possible to get good quality players from here with the help of the government.
