One of the most decorated places around the district. Enjoyed the weather, scene, environment, the Kuthibari itself. A beautiful place to enjoy the time with family members as well.

It's a pride to our bengali people. Rabindranath Tagore spend most of his life in this kuthibari. Also he wrote lots of his poem, song in this Location. It's very beautiful place for those who love to visit historical places. Lots of memory are there in this kuthibari. For foreigner this is my must recommended place to visit and know about Bengalis culture.

A beautiful, peaceful and panoramic place. Sitting beside the pond and listening Robindra Sangeet in the voice of the local singers are mindblowing. Surrounding natural beauty and the structural beauty both are attractive. The famous Kulfi ice cream , sesame snacks, Kumar khali's famous Lungi-gamcha etc. are the tourist attractions.

Rabindranath's Kuthibari is an important establishment in Kushtia. it's a neat and tidy place. Perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Various items used by Rabindranath and replicas of his many paintings are available here. There is also an auditorium here. There are many long-lived trees here.

Beautiful place and well maintained.

Entry fee is only 30 taka. Parking place is there before the entrance.

All kept tidy and clean. Easily can spend 1-2 hours. No toilet or water supply inside the site.

Shilaidaha Rabindra Kuthibari is very nice place to visit. The main building is the center of this Kutibari. There are two ponds on this Kutibari. It was fantasric experience to visit. Many tourists including foreigners visit here each years. Public toilet is the worst thing on this place. This should be improved immediately.

Recently I moved to Kushtia to get higher education. I was boring at university, that's why I as well as some of my friends made a plan to visit this historical place.... I didn't think of it can be so much beautiful... I'm really happy to visit this place. My last message to the visitor; If you anyhow visit kushtia, U must come here to know lots of unknown things..

A historical place. It's the inhabitants of Biswakobi Rabindra Nath Tagore. He wrote many of his poems sitting here before the pond.

If you like any aspect of Rabindranath Thakur, you must visit this place. The house is well maintained and protected by several ansar guards. Access is not very easy from Dhaka if you try not to stay night around this area. You must also visit Lalon Shah's Mazar once you come here as these two are nearby. On weekends, this place is crowded. So I recommend you to visit here during weekdays. You can also try kurfi, famous icecream in Kushtia. Overall, It's worth visiting here when you visit the opposite side of Padma bridge. If you are foreigner, they will charge 200 taka although the fee is 20 taka for locals.

Nice historic place. Good environment and atmosphere. Excellent place for a family hangout. Huge number of trees, well maintained and clean. Little dust can be an issue during the season.

This Kuthi was built by a indigo-planter named Shelly which was later owned by Ramlochan Tagore. In 1807, Dwarkanath Tagore got the ownership of this kuthibari with the inheritance of estate. In 1892, due to the erosion of the river caused by the flood, the Kuthibari was likely to disappear, so it was demolished and a new building was constructed elsewhere in the next year. Dwarkanath Tagore's grandson Rabindranath Tagore came to Shilaidaha several times to look after the estate. He had the opportunity to stay in this cottage. He wrote many literatures during his stay at Shilaidah Kuthibari. During his stay here in 1912, he began the work of translating the Gitanjali into English. During his stay in this building in 1905, he wrote a song which is now the national anthem of Bangladesh.
