Ramna Kali Temple

This temple is also very ancient and also a renowned temple in Dhaka. I would definitely recommend someone to visit this place if they are coming to Bangladesh and also recommend the Bangladeshi people to visit this place while in some puja arrangements and occasion.

The Ramna Kali Mondir is a hindu temple situated beside the former Dhaka Racecourse, now Suhrawardy Udyan. The entire temple complex occupies almost 2.25 acres (9,100 m2) and is on the south side of Ramna Park, opposite the Bangla Academy. The original temple was destroyed on March 27, 1971, by the Pakistani Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War. It was the site of a massacre of mostly Hindu people. It was rebuilt in 2017 by the assistance from Govt of India.

This magnificent temple was demolished by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman govt. It was got rebuilt by assistance from Govt of India in 2017.
It is an important temple in Dhaka.
It is not completely built as yet.

A big Lotus pond is there.
Then only issue here is cleanliness. The premises is not maintained clean and the local people seem oblivious to the unclean and unkempt surrounding.

I feel sorry for the Hindus in Dhaka who don't even know how to pray and clean the temples. They just come here mechanically and contribute to the rubbish in and around the temple. Even the priests pujaris do not feel the necessity of keeping the premises clean. There is no effort to put a teeka on the forehead or even serve चरणामृत by the pujari. And instead of दीपक they light wax candles here.
The Lotus pond is full of plastic bags and is stinking.
But the temple is grand and is a must visit in Dhaka.

If u have time, u must go there & u can prayer peacefully and get mentally satisfaction. I thought like that. Also if u lucky,u can get "Praasad" from Temple🙏

Ramna Kali Temple of Bangladesh is an ancient temple of the world, which is established in British period. It is located at Kazi Nazrul Islam avenue, opposite of Bangla Academy, inside of Dhaka University campus. There are an ample number of people from different areas of Bangladesh has come here for visit and praying to Devotees "Maa Kali". Moreover, many international tourists who are absolutely hunger for education for history and culture also come here for visit the temple. Additionally, it also called the " Maa Ananda moi " Ashram. It is very fantastic place for the Hindus and culture lover, because of It's ambiance is absolutely perfect. Nevertheless, this area is immensely natural, which called picturesque.

One of the best temple in Dhaka for hindu god worship. Some other temple like Dugra, Hari chad thakur asrom, Ma Ananda moye, Radha Kishna are also here. Every friday morning they offerd proshad at free of cost. This is a great place for hindu community to worship hindu Gods and visit.

Peaceful and serene environment, nice temple to visit in Dhaka area. "Mela" during Durga Puja was also nice.

The Temple is very beautiful. After the renovation it looks much more spectacular! The quiet and serene environment inside the temple gives peace and reliefs stress. One can feel the blessings of Ma Kali here and the historical significance of this stucture.

Ramna Kali Temple is one of the oldest and famous temple of Bangladesh. It is situated at heart of the Dhaka city near by TSC, Dhaka University. Though, it’s known as Kali Temple, but this temple consists of several temples of other Hindu Goddess and prayer halls like baba lokhnath temple, Durga temple, Sri Krishna temple etc. In the year 2021, the Kali Temple renovated as like the old building which was demolished in 1971 Liberation War by Pakistani Army. This holy place is very nice with its greenery and very popular to the Hindus but this place is open for all.

One of the oldest temple in Bangladesh. In 1971 the temple was destroyed but it was rebuild in the year 2021. On December 17th 2021, Shri Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the reconstructed Ramna Kali temple in Ramna, a part of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka where the landmark Suhrawardy Udyan (the former Ramna Race Course) is located. The First Lady of India, Mrs. Kovind, and their daughter accompanied the President of India in the stated ceremony. Loknath temple, harichand temple and some other temple is also situated there.

It's a Big historical Hindu temple of Kali ma. Everyday here come people's for prayer. Every year here held Kali puja. Also Durga puja. So If you want to visit a historical religion place. You can come and visit this place.

This Temple is like as below Kali portrait where write "মানুষ ভজলে সোনার মানুষ হবি". When I saw this portrait i didn’t see the word " Vozla" and I also didn’t see the full portrait of goddess Kali. For the soft light the red color was hidden. So when i went near to the portrait to read the rest word "Vozla" i found out all the red color and realize the power to come near. This Temple has the power to see the inner view of you.

Ramna Kali Temple is one of the old temple in Bangladesh.
It’s located near TSC chattor. There is a lot of worship in the temple such as Durga, Krishna-radha. Lokh nath and so many.
This place is big and also Secluded place.
Every year Hindu people celebrates their big festival like Kali puja & Durga puja in this place.

After renovations, visited today and pleased to see the temple. There is a lacking of proper management, seemed to me. Thefull area should be more clean.
