Definitely a must do if you've never done the boat ride!! A beautiful ride up the river, watching the boats gather sand and take them down river. Hard, hard work. Several stops along the way to feel the beautiful blue, cool water on your feet.

I came here from the Sarighat boat terminal and what a wonderful place to come and see some of the beautiful nature of Bangladesh. This is right at the Bangladesh-India border. You can see many of the workers collecting the valuable Sylhet sand resource from the riverbed. The water is a beautiful turquoise color that is fed from the Meghalaya hills of India.

It's a located Jointa in Sylhet, there is bule colour water in everwere. So amazing tourist place in Sylhet.

A beautiful place for spending your time quietly and gracefully. Uniqueness of this place is the water colour of the khal. It has two types of beauty one in late winter season and one in Monsoon season. Both season's are recommended as it represents totally unique view.

Mind blowing natural place. Blue water can remove mental anguishness.

“Lalakhal” is the most famous and beautiful canal in Sylhet. It is famous for its geenish water which is coming from the mountains in Meghalaya, India. The trip will starts from the Dorga/Mazar Gate to Jaflong/Tamabil Road via Khadimnagar Upozilla. The Lalakhal is situated in Jaintapur Upozilla which is in the India-Bangladesh Border. Your journey will start from Sarighat which is 2 kilometers befor Jaintapur. It is one hour drive from Sylhet City to Sarighat. First you will hire an engine boat for the round trip from the boat hiring counter. The fare varies time to time. After hiring the boat take some snacks and adequate water and hop in the boat. It’s a 2 hours ride by engine boat with a very scenic view of riverside. You will see the mountains in Meghalaya in distance if the weather is clean. Over 50 engine boats operate in this canal for tourist entertainment. The beautiful view and the greenish water in canal is breathtaking. It could be the best part of your trip to Sylhet. Please do not drop any waste in the water. The journey will be one of the best memories in your life you would like to remember. Avoid going there in winter season beacause there are less water in the canal and you will miss the best part of the green nature. Recommended to pay a visit with your friends and family if you are a nature lover and visiting Sylhet.

Lala Khal is one of the tourist spot in the Sylhet. The water color is different from different sessions. You guys must have a boat ride to enjoy the beauty of nature and i must suggest that please visit Bangladesh.

It's basically a ride on a trawler along the canal.. the river is unpolluted and when the trawler deep into the canal, the ride gets more beautiful... Try to be here in the either early morning or midday after lunch,, otherwise the heat may become a little off putting...

Very beautiful place. Never be disappointed. Highly suggested to visit there during winter(mostly in November, and December). Minimum takes 2 hours to visit there. The bluish watercolor amazed me very much. The boat ride was very enjoyable and mind-refreshing. With family, it is mostly visited the place.Anyone can take adult members also with them because there are fewer walking paths.

This is truly a very beautiful place in Bangladesh because of having BLUE water. Actually the water color is just like water but the specialty is the soil under water has transformed into different format. The other thing is there is a tea garden. I have visited this place few times in last 15 years. At first, we used to go by boat from Sharighat. Now It has both boat and road transportation system. Lalakhal is a small river, which has tea estate in one side and resort in the other side. Water comes from India flows through small river. It has 2-3 feet deep clean water in Winter season, very cool and fine water to have a bath. The lower part of the river is few meters deep, it is very bluish color water. It is lime mixed water, a little sticky. I like to swim in this river very much. I could not provide the best pictures, but collect some of them and upload later.

Lalakhal is a beautiful river situated in Jaintapur Upozilla of Sylhet division.Lalakhal is a wide channel in the Sharee River near the Tamabil road. The river is not very deep and is one of the sources of sand in Sylhet. The water color is different and it's look cool.

Blue water river in Bangladesh

It is the most astonishing place I have even seen in Bangladesh 🇧🇩.
When you see the surrounding place you would never expect you see a place like this but once you see the lake it makes you wow.

The water is like swimming pool. And it is sky blue colored. Unbelievable.

one of the Best viewing site of sylhet I have ever visit... This spot 46 km away from sylhet City.
You can go there by CNG bus. First of all you have to go sari ghat bazar. Then you will get auto rickshaws in front of sari ghat bazar. The auto rickshaws will take hundred to 150 taka to reach the final destination of lalakhal. After reaching, you have you have to hire a boat to visit lalakhal. The water is so bluish and very nice that your eyes will not stop to seeing the beauty of Bangladesh. The boat will take 800 to 1500 taka. The board will take you to the lalakhal zero point.
