Lala Khal Ferry Terminal Reviews

This review is basically not about the ferry terminal but the River Itself. One of the beautiful natural water stream I've ever seen. The colour of the water is really mind-blowing.

Guide:
1. After going there you can hire some engine boats. The fare is almost fixed. Basically they wait in a serial. A boat normally gets a chance to find a customer. Therefore you hire them for one/two hours will not benefit you much. It'll not be cost effective. Better to go there in the morning or by noon so that you can hire it for whole day or 4/5/6 hours.

2. You can carry some light mat or something to sit /gossip/enjoy your carried lunch or snacks across the river in the bank or in the tea garden.

The boat fare is very high for 2/3 persons. It's better to visit with a group so that the cost might be reasonable. And obviously the boat riding is very much enjoyable in this blue water. It's better to go here in the rainy season so that you can enjoy the maximum beauty of lalakhal.

The variety of colors blue, green or clear water will attract you at different points of Lalakhal which is located at Jaintapur in Sylhet.

You can find tea garden, hills, natural jungle beside the canal and also a series of short sharp turns here.

This is truly a very beautiful place in Bangladesh because of having green water. Actually the water color is just like water but the speciality is the soil under water has transformed into different format. That is what is responsible for such kind of water colour. The other thing is there is a tea garden. This lala khal is shared with India. If you go by boat at the zero points then you can see India in the other part. This looks awesome in rainy season as the water level increase. Though in the full rainy season it's not advisable to visit by boat. Have a great journey.

Lalakhal, which is another top tourist attraction in Jaintapur Upazilla, is covered with hills, natural forests, tea gardens, and rivers under the Jainta Hill which comprises part of the Meghalaya Ranges of India. Flowing from the Indian part, the river Myntdu enters Lalakhal as the Saree and meets the river Guaiyan after passing Sarighat. Over a stretch of nearly 12 km of the river from Lalakhal to Sarighat, the colour of the water stays transparent green in winter (as well as in other seasons when it does not rain) due to the minerals flowing with water and the sandy river bed.

A tourist can experience green water river, Range of mountain and Tea Garden- at once in Lalakhal.

At the eastern bank of river Saree, there is the ‘Lalakhal Tea Garden’.
