Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is the oldest agricultural education and research institution in Bangladesh and South Asia . This unique educational institution is located in Sher Bangla Nagar of the capital Dhaka . Established in 1938 as “The Bengal Agricultural Institute”, the agricultural institute was upgraded to a university in 2001. One of the main goals of this university is to produce skilled agronomists and agronomists with theoretical and practical knowledge capable of bearing the responsibility of agricultural development in the country through the spread of higher agricultural education; Besides, this university is making special contribution for the proper promotion and expansion of agricultural research.

The SAU campus stands on 86.92 acres (35.19 ha) of land covered by green plantations. This is one of the most beautiful place in Dhaka city. It has large crop field for research purpose which are more attractive. If you want to take fresh air, you can come here to take fresh air.

A great place inside Dhaka. A breathing green university anyone can ask for. From a visitor’s point of view, a quite place to walk, not too crowded like University of Dhaka. The boundary worked as a magnificent barrier to conserve the beautiful varsity.
Students are helpful here. They treat outsiders better.
Vast fields work as research field. The warm color of old academic buildings preserve the profoundness. New buildings portray the enhancing demands of agriculture in higher studies.

Alot of classes are received in person compared to other courses which I really like a lot, the teachers are always there to help you when you need any guidance and they don't get annoyed by it. The one thing my course could improve is by doing more exam practice, it's done in alot of classes but there are few which lack the exam practice

It is an university hall and there is quiet environment and there is beautiful garden surrounding the hall.Being a part of agricultural university in front of the hall there is a paddy field to a stone's throw distance from the hall which is a rare view in the middle of the Dhaka city.It has a large time enjoying ground for people.
